I really hope most of the extreme detail on Skeletor makes it to the production piece. It would be a shame if something like the embroidered pattern on the edge of the cape (for example) gets ditched from the final statue. I don't want to see them cutting corners with the paint either. I know how great armor tends to look on SS's prototypes and how flat it can look on the production versions. I know I'm asking a lot but this statue has so much potential. The pose and sculpt is perfect, all it needs is paint and quality tailoring on the cape to match.

I highly doubt they'll cut corners unless something proves to just not work out during production. 1/5th statues are usually really detailed, and if you've seen pictures of the Obi-Wan Mythos, there's SO much going on there. I think you're fairly safe putting your faith in knowing that Sideshow will definitely aim to deliver the best Skeletor they can in comparison to the prototype.

No doubt. If they can match the quality of the SW Mythos line I'll have no complaints.

I'm still so blown away by these. I can't wait to PO them both.

Me too.

I'm dying for them to go up.

I can see these being massively popular...the amount of interest they have created on all the Statue Forums is amazing.

For me these are in the top 5 SDCC pieces this year & in fact Skeletor might even be my number 1 piece

Gonna PO Skeletor for sure. Provided they're not Lobo/King prices, I'll def get both. But Skeletor is a no brainer.

I still find it funny how so many people were facepalming when this line was announced, "He-Man doesn't wear shoulder armor!" "These won't look like the real He-Man characters we love!" "Sideshow's just ruining something else with their take on it!" and now everyone is frothing at the mouth for them.

Just goes to show how inherently negative a lot of people can be, and that sometimes it's best to wait and judge the full reveal of a product before damning it to Hell.

they look great!

are those premium format or legendarys?
i hope premium, because the price would be much more affordable to buy them both :yess:

If you're looking for affordable you should be happy to hear that they're 1/5th scale...so they'll actually be about $100 cheaper than PFs!

There never seems to be any rhyme or reason to the pricing decisions other then squeezing us for every nickel that they think we will pay them and then tacking on 25 bucks to that :)
But the Star Wars Mythos line was 350 and that was almost certainly a more expensive license.
My guess is they will push the upper limit at 399.99 with Skelator. Would love to be wrong, but that is my guess.

Keep coming back to this thread even though I know no new knews will come for some time :(
Gonna be a long painful wait

Weird to be releasing this, dolph has even admitted to not liking the movie..

I'm getting pics from yesterday up. The glare was horrible on the display cases but pics are pics.

Great pictures once again Zod! As you said, pics are pics! But those ones really show some definition in He-Man! I love the detail on these...they're just blowing me away! I bet they look even better in person!

So, how are the crossbones supposed to stay in place when the top of them aren't connected to anything?
