Skeletor's armor better be made of polystone and not plastic, unlike Arthas.

Btw - Only allowing myself 1 statue this year. Between Skeletor, and Spider-man (which will probably be the one I get.). But, I haven't seen everything yet.

It's fantasy. Magic! :lol

:thud:

Imagine if the straps for He-Man's harness didn't connect to the red cross at the top. Everyone would be like "That looks stupid. The straps should connect at the top." Same thing here. The skull and crossbones emblem on his chest should connect to his shoulder armor, just like in the concept art for this piece, but it obviously doesn't.

Exclusives are switch out vintage heads apparently, and switch out weapons

It was discussed in one of the youtube vids from the con

Smaller then I thought it would be. I know 1/5 scale , but I pictured it being bigger. Looks 1/6 to me. Maybe the guy in the photo is a beast of a man.

Funny, in speaking with SSC's David Igo I respectfully advised him of my disappointment on the figure not being a little more like the 80s Skeletor. I told him I'm okay if they want to re-envision him some but keep him blue or dark blue with the 80s muscular body-that was my biggest problem with it. He thanked me for my criticism and told me about the variant head. He also advised that if this line sells a 1/4 scale would likely be pursued, he was really nice about it. So for my 80s Skeletor fix I'm still getting PCS' Skeletor and I will be getting this one too because while it's not my cup of tea for the Skeletor that I grew up with I still liked it and it's really detailed and different. In fact, I was actually hoping for PCS to do a Skeletor that was half the cartoon and half real like their Skeletor bust which I'm also getting.

Happy collecting guy!

He may be farther away than you think. It almost looks like his finger is touching the glass, but in actuality if it was, you'd see at LEAST his hand reflected directly in the glass. So it's likely that he's farther away from the case than you think.

Seeing it at ComicCon for myself I thought it was a real nice size in fact up close I thought it was a premium format statue. It wasn't until David advised me that it was 1/5 scale. Definitely not small but not huge like a PF more so in the middle. If I had to guess I'd say between 17-19 inches tall and not measuring to his staff. Of course we will know when they provide the info but up close it is not a small statue and definitely bigger than a 1/6 figure with base and all.

I would love (quite selfishly) if it could fit in a Detolf. But at those dimensions it seems less likely.

I think I would be afraid to put something that heavy and expensive on a Detolf glass shelf even if it would fit. Though I do like Detolfs because they are enclosed all around, offer unobstructed views, and are very inexpensive.

^ too many horror stories with broken shelves. I wouldn't put anything this heavy on one of those shelves.
