1/6 Sideshow Mythos Boba Fett Figure.

The presentation of the figure in that video did it no favors. It looks like a solid figure.
Still really looking forward to it.

I think it looks great. Like the Kenobi, it's going to require some serious futzing and playing around with it before it's photo or display ready, but the elements are there. The cloth is weathered well and it will require the most attention to get it looking good.

Patience....let's see a few more looks before we get worried.

Helmet shape looks slightly off and the paint job is just lacking in accuracy and detail.

I think that Helmet looks great on this figure, probably the best in 1/6, though I would need to see a side-by-side. I'm sure this is well-trodden ground at this point but I was reading the Star Wars art book sideshow put out, and in the description for the Mythos Boba statue they said that they originally were going to make him helmetless, which they based off of a Topps card, but ended up deciding against it so that it could be ambiguous as to whether or not it was supposed to be post Sarlacc. The closest I can figure this is the card they were talking about, and I don't know about you all but I think this would have made the design a fair bit more interesting.

Sorry I disagree about the helmet, helmet on the promo shot was amazing and the selling point. This helmet just looks like another oversized hot toys one , this is a completely different helmet from the one with they show us, I feel sick about this why did they not keep the helmet which they first showed, and then there's the rest of him, had so many boba fett figures released over the years and this one changes nothing.

Quick outta the box but definitely not quick to futz. Going to remove all the wires and do a water treatment, since they get in the way and will probably be only good for wind swept looks which I never do. Helmet proportions are MUCH better than SSC and HT's previous offerings, unfortunately still keeping in line with the extra long range finder. Here are a couple shots before I box him back up.

Wow! I'm impressed, looks great. The huge rangefinder is a bummer though.

I can't believe they are still using those hooks for the jet pack. What a pain. They used a magnet for Dengar and it was light years better.

I really like this figure but could see many disliking it due to the major futzing needed as well as the leathery bits feeling extremely delicate. Also the jet pack is harder to put on then previous ones.
Be patient and careful.

You have him looking nice! I have to cool it with Boba as I bought two of the HT ESB version with the pre production flamethrower Boba being my Mythos version of him. This Sideshow Mythos Boba would look really cool with Mythos Ben and/or Sandstorm Luke.

I have this figure on PO right now but am still on the fence if I want to follow through. I used to collect a mix of hot toys/sideshow figures and have decided to start up again with this one being my first.

I'm still unsure about the poncho piece but I do appreciate the unique look to this Boba 1/6. Also what you said about the fragility of the leather pieces worries me greatly. Does it feel like they are going to break off when you touch them? Thanks for the pics btw.

Thanks I picked up 2 of the ESBs as well but have always loved how the Mythos statue looked plus i was attracted to the new helmet on this guy. Hope to grab a couple more buckets for custom/mods.

The leather pieces are extremely thin and very soft: the belt/holster straps, saber straps and blaster rifle sling. Not sure how long they would hold up but extra caution was used when futzing this guy. I could see many getting frustrated with it. Then again, I only played around with the figure for about an hour.

I think he looks great in the shots that have been shared so far. And as for the futzing? That's half the fun...getting it adjusted and trying different approaches with the materials and accessories. i can't wait to get him out west like I did Mythos Kenobi last year...



Kenobi took a lot of futzing to get looking great...I'm sure this one will too!
