I think he looks great in the shots that have been shared so far. And as for the futzing? That's half the fun...getting it adjusted and trying different approaches with the materials and accessories.

:exactly:

...and great shots as usual JB. Looking forward to seeing your Mythos squad out in the wild :D

Thank you much for the pix, D.R. I am looking forward to getting this one home.

One thing about these video reviews, he's still spending much of the time with the poncho hanging completely down, as if he were about to fire up the grill at a cookout and that was the apron. KISS THE COOK, I guess. We need that Sharpie'd across the front.... lol :rotfl

Can that jetpack be as bad as Captain America's shield? I remember that as being a real PITA. Oh well!

This will by far be the most complex figure I have ever dealt with, I look forward to this challenge.

Quick outta the box but definitely not quick to futz. Going to remove all the wires and do a water treatment, since they get in the way and will probably be only good for wind swept looks which I never do. Helmet proportions are MUCH better than SSC and HT's previous offerings, unfortunately still keeping in line with the extra long range finder. Here are a couple shots before I box him back up.

Nice pick up D.R...and hats off to SS, i think it turned out great! How does the helmet compare to HT in size?

I actually didn?t have time to compare. I?m away for the week but I can take a side by side shot when I get home, unless some one else gets to it. Otherwise I think the proportions and ?T? visor on this guy is the best 1/6 representation of the Fett helmet. I definitely will be trying to get another for a repaint/mod.

Looking forward to those comparison shots! The visor does look great in your first shot.
It would be rather funny if after numerous medicom, SS and HT offerings, a SS Mythos Fett actually provides the most screen accurate helmet.

Man, I dunno, it looks a bit better in that lighting. I want a 1/6 Boba Fett after selling my 1/4 and I stupidly cancelled my Hot Toys ESB before release and never picked it up, part me wants to wait and see if they do a reissue of him.

I also have my quality concerns with Sideshow figures after buying Maul. My lightsaber blades don't sit parralel with the hilt and his hand can't take the weight of holding the saber down without falling off.

Thanks for the pictures Paul. He looks really good. I know the reviewer says you can't but do you think its possible to remove the cloth goods so you could have a standard ROTJ Fett?

I really like the helmet on this one. It looks better than the HT ROTJ Fett.

I am tempted to pick this one up.

If a re-issue happens, they probably won’t do it anytime soon. Sideshow still had the Deluxe up until about a month ago and my buddy bought the regular off BBTS just like before the holidays. If anything, I’d be surprised if this isn’t the last Boba figure since everything from The Mandalorian seems to be the hot armored spaced bounty hunters right now.

Hey Chris, I didn't try removing it but it should be possible. Maybe some CA Remover/solvent or if worse comes to worse and it all doesn't come off: a scalpel, some sanding and paint. It felt like they applied generous amounts of adhesive as the fabric in that area is brittle and hard. I believe the kama/kilt piece is just like a belt. I saw a snap/clasp in the front.

This is the best representation of a 1/6 Fett bucket IMO. One small nitpick on the helmet is the slight gap that goes around the top; as if the green "cap" part - above the range finder and mask area is a bit small in diameter, leaving a tiny ledge around the whole helmet where it should be flush. Something that could be easily puttied but then would require a repaint if one chose to go that far.

The body proportions underneath are more realistic than the puffier/buff fett's that we've gotten before, with the tailoring to match, and the hands are very well done - a bit smaller, but more in proportion imo.
This would look amazing as any modded Fett replacement, but then there's the work.

I'm sure with your skills you will be able to make it work.

Yeah, I was kind of psyched for this release (and just catching up on this thread) but the helmet doesn't seem quite as spot-on as I remembered the proto being, even if I still like the overall proportions. The cheeks shape doesn't quite look right and SSC always seems to sculpt a hard edge/line into the upper back area of the cheeks (same with their ESB Boba) even though there isn't supposed to be one - on any Fett helmet.

And that molded gap just above the brow is unfortunate - no easy fix for that. Though I guess you could argue this is an EU Fett so the helmet doesn't necessarily need to be a 100% match to ESB or ROTJ.

The hands seem a touch undersized (man, what is it with companies struggling with Fett's hands, even HT?,) and the poses a bit funky on a couple I saw, but again - not enough pics/vids yet to judge fully.

That being said, it looks awesome overall so far even though there hasn't been enough pics to really definitely judge the fig. Definitely still looks like a fittingly strong ending/final fig for SSC SW 1/6.

… Until Fett makes an appearance on the show. And you know he's going to, its all about those ratings [and those $benjamins$]. anyone who thinks Mando *isn't* going to end up clashing with the most fearsome Mandalorian still alive is kidding themselves. This would be the ultimate fanservice, and you know how SW loves their fanservice.

Moff Gideon is speed-dialing Fett right this minute, you know it.

Back on topic: *drums fingers on tabletop, looking in BBTS' direction* WHEN

I kinda wish this Mythos Fett included a disintegration rifle now after seeing Mando in action.

It appears Sideshow is shipping this guy for a flat $10 which makes him a bit more tempting.

I just wanna know if the joints are loose or solid. I usually dont buy sideshow products, because of the garbage bodies they use
