Whoever said a few pages ago that the attachment approach to the jetpack is bad was spot on. I've hated attaching every jetpack on every figure and this one is the worst as I'm trying to put the poncho under the jetpack as James had done in his video. :gah:

Literally spent 10 minutes getting the jet pack
attached. Very pleased with the look of the figure but definitely takes some futzing. The body isn?t quite Jawa floppy but it is noticeably loose. Overall really pleased with it.

I?m really tempted to get this guy. I think he?ll look great next to the Mandalorian stuff coming from HT. Has that western kind of vibe to it.

Great pic but is that right forearm gauntlet cracked/split? Seems like you can see the grey of the jumpsuit through the crack/gap.

How does the helmet compare to the other 1/6 Fett helmets (there's been so many...)?

It seems a bit smaller than the old SSC ESB Fett helmet that's alongside it there, but maybe it's just perspective.

I think it?s just the picture angle. I?m no expert on helmet accuracy. I really like the shape of this one though

This looks like one of SS's better offerings...hmmm I have the 1:5th scale Mythos statue I am not sure I need this in 1:6th ... decisions decisions...

Awesome collection there. And really makes me want to track down one of those Proto Fetts now as well.

Get one, and leave him in the box for now. Think about it. You can always sell him later, or part him out.

This turned out really well, and I have a feeling it may end up selling pretty well. Best to be safe.

It was good timing to release a 1/6 fig of a "kinda Boba Fett, but different" Mando. People are hungry for anything with a helmet and t-visor.:lol

Well, true in a way. Although speaking for me, Mando and Fett are very different. Mando you can admire as a person for his noble qualities; Fett is just aloof and icy and that archetypical badass. I didn't much care about him until I started reading about him to be honest. It was the EU where he flowered and grew, and this is one reason people are upset that Disney is trying to pretend the EU does not exist: its full of a lot of great stuff that people have no intention of giving up.

[Mando is a badass too, tho :)]

Like him or not, Fett has always been one of the top sellers of merch. I don’t think The Mando show did anything for him to gain/lose anyone.

This figure was probably Sideshow’s last hurrah to justify one last Fett figure and they couldn’t advertise it as an ROTJ so they went this route.

Still the figure is a mess that needs a lot of work , soon as you get it into a pose it's better not to touch . My god every picture I've seen so far makes his head look like a bobble head, has he
a bobblehead or is it bad pictures , reminds of a bobot chicken .

Got this guy the other day; first Sideshow since Dengar.

From the neck down, this guy is AMAZING.......sideshow's weathering is better than I remember from their past efforts..............but the helmet. Two main issues for me: it's small and does not flare out as it should. Next to the HT ESB one, the issues with the helmet are apparent. It's by no means a bad helmet, but its not as dead-on as I had hoped. Now, I am not a fan of the ROTJ HT helmet either, as it has 'long face' syndrome, so I dunno. HT is on the left. Right next to eath other, the SSC doesn't seem as small as when on the figure. It should be noted, the HT figure is a smidge shorter.
Sorry for the ghetto set up

Paper towel makes it look extra classy I know. The new helmet also just sits on a peg. It does not snap in or anything. Odder than anything. I am using a bit of the Blu Tac to have the helmet sit a tad higher up off the neck. To my eyes, it makes the helmet look less pin-headish

Gotta say that the Mythos style of Fett is my fav version of the character. If they had him appear in Mandalorian, this is exactly how I'd want him to look.

Whoever came up with the concept: Kudos.

May have to give the elevated helmet look a try. I don?t think it looks pink headed in hand but wanted a little separation between bottom of helmet and the poncho...
