I would say SSC, Marmit is nice but will fall apart, Medicom seems to be nice but I am not big on the ROTJ/97' special edition look. So yeah, go watch the behind the scenes video for the Stormtrooper on SSC site and I think you will come to the same conclusion.

I think it such a difficult discussion, with out seeing a SSC Stormtrooper in the flesh, not to sure if I am convinced with the fabric belt.

Me too, I got the SSC General Kenobi and wasnt very impressed by its hard armour or the new ^^^^ty body (mine left arm broke within an hour of simple posing)

Based on what was on display @ SDCC I'd say SS hands down. It was pre-production or mostly production (can't remember exactly) so it should look just like what we/I saw. The Medi ones are nice as well.

They were Production Samples, which basically means the factory (not SSC) produced a handful of them based on the Prototype specs. So we should be good to go.

As far as this poll...

Sideshow's will be in scale, have much more accurate helmets, and the rifle and other accessories will blow Medicom's out of the water. And they're also cheaper!!

Seriously, other than the fact that you can get a Medicom Stormtrooper right now is this even really debatable?

Does any one have any idea on a release date in the UK. Forbidden Planet said it would be the 22nd of Dec, but from what you guys say it does not look like they will be here till jan or even Feb!

Play.com has them set for Dec 30th, but they always change it a few days before its due. Id say jan 14th if were lucky.

If Clone obi is anything to judge the SSC Stormies by I pic SSC over Medicom and have the Medicom Sandtrooper & it just doesn't sit right proportion wise I feel the legs are a bit stunted.

I voted Sideshow, even though I own three Medi-troopers.
Overall, although I love my Medis, my SW collection is mostly SST, so the SST Stormies will look better with the rest of my collection. And from the pics, the SST Stormies look superior in detail.
Have to wait to have them in hand, but it looks like SST is the way to go.

I briefly owned a Medicom Stormtrooper and had a Marmit kit for a number of years. I think all 3 really do offer something. But for just out of the box I'd give it to Sideshow.

Marmit requires a bit of work (not much) to get it to be poseable enough. Medicom is a great figure, but the size and tiny hands bugged me. But the Sideshow figure (though with faults) overall is the one I prefer out of the 3.

I like the hard plastic and the price is increasing on SSC, but it’s still not Medicom prices and the height and bulk of the SS ST look better next to the SSC Figures in my opinion. But you know the old saying “Opinions are like @$$ holes, everyone has one.
