Sideshow or medicom stormtroopers

I don't have a favorite, both are great, but neither is perfect. Each has its own pros and cons.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up...

Sideshow for two main reasons:

1) Its in scale with other 1:6 figs

2) I prefer the hard armor of the SS to Medi's soft armor.

Easy, if you have more SS figs get SS, if you have more medi figs get Medicom.

Medicom's is alright but I'd sell mine if someone was interested. That might make me get another SS one.

From the side by side comparisons I'd say go SSC, while they both have good & bad points I think the SSC has better proportions the Medis helmet looks bigger then SSC's but the legs are way shorter

I think this poll is a little BS if you ask me..hardly anyone owns a Medicom Stormtrooper..seems like SS is the first Stormtrooper other then Hasblow for many on here...you need to own Medicom and the Sideshow to appreciate how the quality is on the Medicom compared to Sideshow stuff..Medicom is well detailed and well made, super poseable, shiny, i would say the body glove is better material as well as you can fit a head under the helmet unlike SS, i will like the SS more when i get some gloss on it and mod it a little..and for about $130 with shipping in CAN funds for the Sideshow and having to do mods(especially fix his junior jock piece)also,paint rub on the hands(total BS!) i really should had got what i did see in the SDCC pics of the trooper..so, Medicom (as i paid about the same price for it as SS) will get my vote.

I feel the same for the most part, you have to own a Medicom figure to appreciate its quality. Its a great fig and with next to no futzing out of the box. Posablity is tops. SS is also a great fig, after all the futzing, unfortunately, its an awesome fig. But with the loose joints and odd armor parts, its a slight dissapointment out of the box. All my futzing is done now and the thing looks great.

But all and all I'm glad to own them both.

I own both and I like the Sideshow version better. I even put away the medicom back in its box and in storage (sorry, not for sale). It could be that I just got bored of looking at it and the sideshow one is the newest novelty.

Nah, I definitely like the Sideshow one much more.

I think when Hot Toys gets to do Star Wars 1/6th(as i hear its the one line they want to do badly) only then..we will get perfect or near perfect Stormtroopers and best actor likenesses out of any mass produced figures, and i would pay $120-50 maybe $200(Vader) if they did get the licence, SSC just can't get it right, even on the PF statues of the OT characters.

Keep dreaming because I doubt that's gonna happen any time soon. HT might want to do it but unless something massive changes, the figures will keep coming from SS and I couldnt be happier because I think HT prices are starting to get a bit carried away at times.
