Sideshow stormtrooper or Medicom

I dont see why so many people would want HT to do the line because their past history shows they wouldn't do a very complete one. They would probably do 5 figures and then call it quits. Now granted that's exaggeration but, I think, not far off.

Sideshow all the way however it is a somewhat tough comparrison to make considering the difference of scale and the Medicom utilizes the ROTJ helmet . I own both and definatly like the SS one better , I have two , so I'm likley parting with the Medicom.

I own the Medicom Sandtrooper as well and will be in for a togh decession as to get rid of the Medicom or not since I paid $150.00 for it . If I can get close to waht a SS Sandtrooper costs I may part with for when an Orange or Black Pauldron Sandtrooper is released.

Do you have a source for that?

It was on one of the sideshow pod casts i think, they interviewed the head guy at Hot Toys and he said "Star War" as being the line they wanted to do the most lol.

I went to Corner Store Comics and compared the Medi stormy to the SS and I must say I like the Medi more. The Armor on the SS felt really cheap and was VERY loose. I think they could have done a better job on the shoulder pads and chest plate. The shoulder pads should have been tighter and the sides of the chest plate should wrap around the body a little bit more. However, I think SS did a great job by giving the stormy an actual belt and the shin guards have better detail. I will buy the SS version later on, but not right now. I'm pretty happy with the Medi.

Seeing as how HT has stated that it's one their favorite lines they want to do, and the money making cash cow of SW i don't think you could be more wrong. (look at all the DK figures coming out, and that's nowhere near the popularity of SW)

And even if it did stop at 10 figures let's say. That would be 10 high quality kick ass figures.

I've been trying to tell these dudes this for over a year now, but it's not setting in.

I think the only way HT is making SW figures is if Medicom lets go of the license.

I'm waiting to get my SS trooper in hand before deciding whether I like the Marmit or the Sideshow trooper better. The Medicom isn't bad, but it's too thin in the torso, and of course...too short :p It'll definitely be my third place.

Well, if thats the case..Medicom better hand that shizz over to Hot Toys ASAP!.

Took some new pics of my Medis if your still on the fence of one or the other. I also have the SS stormie and he's great. I think both are awesome in their own ways. SS does need more tinkering around to look nice.

My medis with acouple of marmit helmets, in my opinion with the 2 combined makes it a perfect fig.
