Congrats, Rich :clap

you have the P1 exclusive dio also right ?

I did. I dropped it. I will put the base together, repaint and use for something else. I have the regular version now.

(I've been having some problems with my hands.)

BUMP!

Couple of pics I took last night before the batteries died:

A little more color would have been nice, but for what it is, the size, and the price - I'm pretty happy with it.

---Oh, and by the way, the vid is up on youtube now.

<---P2 is my favorite Predator but I'm seriously not feeling this.

Which is all that matters for people who bought it, but the size and price of it (for me) doesn't change the fact that it looks pretty cheap and crappy.

The bio-less portraits on these aren't painted as detailed as the maquette or a lot of other pieces, but given the apps of the overall statue, I think you definitely get your money's worth in quality. For only $150 and their size, the Alien and Predator dioramas are some amazing pieces.

Agreed.

And the unmasked head is still miles better than the P2 on the Hot Toys one.

i don't own any hot toys alien or pred. fig.'s and i'm sure they are nice but i think i would rather go with the polystone piece.

I'm starting to feel that way myself. I'm getting more and more into 'statuesque' stuff, and less and less into 'figures' - I'm still keeping my Hot Toys stuff and my P1 preorder, but I really like the look of a seamless statue that is fixed in one pose, compared to something that has a load of visible joints.

that was one of the reason i have'nt bought they figures. i bought the TDK figures batman and joker and when i opened them i was not completly happy. don't get me wrong the are nice but i missed the feel and weight of polystone.

It comes down to what you like. My only issue with statues is sometimes they're not in the pose/setup you'd like, which is the nice thing about figures, you can setup whatever pose, etc. you like.

I will say, the poses done in these Alien and Predator pieces have all been great. I only passed on Alien 3 and 4 because I just don't care for the look of those aliens, but the dios themselves are quite impressive, and now the Queen looks great too. Sideshow's really done well in capturing the essence of each of these creatures from their respective films.
