How did it fall to the ground when you opened it, was it stuck inside the foam you lifted off and then fell out?

I always open stuff like this with one end of the foam on a flat surface and carefully take away the other half, even if it's updside down, it ensures things don't shift around on ya.

I do it heavy side down! Then lift the top foam while looking at the crack while it separates. This assures you're not lifting the wrong side.

Usually Sideshow puts their logo on the side of the foam that should face up when removing it.

Adam, I'm relieved that it didn't turn out as bad as it could have been. hopefully it'll be as good as new after you touch it up. Look forward to the review bro, and congrats once again.

Well, I didn't have to wait, I luckily was able to remember where I kept a stash of acrylic paint 'pens' from when I painted a friends leather jacket up.

It's touched up again, and it looks flawless now. *wipes brow*

I'll go do the vid in a few and get that up on youtube!

Honestly, I just think the foam wasn't placed as inside the little hole the head was in as it should have been, I lifted the top piece of Styrofoam carefully, and heard a soft "thud" and thought, "OH MY GOD NO"...

Looked at it, no damage done, except for a toothpick end sized nick in the paint.

Man, man o man I was so damn lucky.

All and all, this is one AWESOME dio, and the spear is freakin' nuts too, I LOVE IT! It's also my first time getting a low number. Thankfully with my ordeal, it was lucky number seven.
:D

congrats on the low number on the first pred. dio i got number 5. :D

It's kinda neat to get a low ES, I enjoy when the ES is high enough that you could get a number that's a year of significance to the piece, like the Darth Maul PF regular had a 1999 ES, I'd have loved to have the 1999 for the film year, but I wanted the Ex. so no chance anyway :lol. I don't think the ES is high enough for the year P2 came out, maybe if you got like 80 something for the last 2 digits. What year did P2 come out?

BLAM!

Ugh, I give up on the video for tonight, two people came over and interrupted it, the phone rang three times, and then my batteries died.

Tomorrow I'll have a review up for sure though - I also got a manual turntable so I can turn that heavy bastard easier... if I had known my batteries were low, I'd have picked up extra.

can't wait to see it.

# 162 here...
really disappointing piece. the paint apps on this piece are sub par to say the least. the first predator dio is far superior to this dio..

the black gloved part on both hands do not match. some of the netting is not even painted. who knows maybe i got a dud..
