It comes down to what you like. My only issue with statues is sometimes they're not in the pose/setup you'd like, which is the nice thing about figures, you can setup whatever pose, etc. you like.

I will say, the poses done in these Alien and Predator pieces have all been great. I only passed on Alien 3 and 4 because I just don't care for the look of those aliens, but the dios themselves are quite impressive, and now the Queen looks great too. Sideshow's really done well in capturing the essence of each of these creatures from their respective films.

i have all of them and they are great. out of all the alien dio's the aliens dio is my favorite.

i really hope they do dio's for the avp movies.

They can skip AVP, but I'm sure we'll never see AVPR without AVP too, but I really hope to see a Wolf dio given the quality of P1 and P2, and an Alien Warrior from AVPR could be cool too, and definitely PredAlien if the pose is right.

There is one pose in the flick, that I thought was insanly cool. Right after he healed himself, or blew that dudes head off, he just stands up in the trees as lightning cracks behind him. That was cool.

A little more color would have been nice, but for what it is, the size, and the price - I'm pretty happy with it.

It was a cool shot, but I think taken out of the film it'd weaken a bit, part of the strength of the shot was the rain rain, the lightning, the glow of the blood, just him standing in the tree as a dio probably wouldn't look as cool as the movie.

I think Wolf would be in an attack pose like the others anyway. I'd love something based on this, I know the pic's really small, it's the only one I could find quickly.

Espcially since the desing of the Hot Toys body will not allow the figure to be posed like it, the right arm at least.

Both Predators thus far have been elevated up on something, so something with Wolf being up in a tree, or on a vent (like from the hospital roof), or even something from the power plant might be more likely than anything else.

I agree,i prefer not to think of the hybrid either!

With the P2 dio most have said he's in attack mode but i actually see it as him in stealth mode,and with wolf in the tree this fall in the same catagory for me.

I prefer these dio's because they dont portray an exact moment from any of the movies(apart from the Queen now it seems!),just the essence of the creature involved.

Got the Sideshow Exclusive PREDATOR 2 dio today.

Fantastic piece and some killer paint apps.
Especially on the exclusive unmasked head.

Now...I'm not real happy with the right arm position change, that's for sure.
But, I found my own personal fix for it, so he doesn't have that whole "Pass me the ball!" look to him.

The paint aps are terrible imo. But the skull mod you did makes it look much better. When I first saw pics of this piece I assumed the EX. would be P2 holding a skull in that hand. I still have no clue why they placed the hand like that. lol. But that add-on definitely looks better!
