Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Heading into work, but here's the latest update from the stream!

Man, that's crazy seeing something like that coming to life before your eyes. Just makes me want SS to improve the PF even more.

:exactly: As I mentioned way back when pics from SDCC were showing up, I think it'd be a really smart move for Sideshow to rethink the Supergirl statue on certain levels. The head needs to be changed, and since the arm won't be changing -- especially with this art print being made of it -- then I think it'd be smart to follow suit and make it more of a "looking into the distance" pose, and adjust her hand and fingers to accommodate. That should be an easier fix, and I think if they did that for both then this would be a very fast seller.

Here's the latest picture from the Livestream after I got to work:

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I think he said that it's about 60% done. I'm hoping SS softens the portrait of the PF up a bit to tweak it similar to the art.

This might be my favourite of his SS prints right now.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

The print is looking very good. I think they are preparing us for a really gorgeous Supergirl PF. I'll be buying a framed print the minute it goes to advanced sale cause you can bet they will be gone quickly.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

i'll buy it when ss sends me the email on saturday or sunday telling me i can order an exclsuive framed print before it goes live monday. otherwise it'll be gone .

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

No one seems to care about the new art Court of the dead art prints

I think they're incredibly niche...even moreso than any other Court of the Dead prints. Most other prints can be passed off as Horror art of sorts, or just unique looking pieces that'll really pop once they arrive and are seen in person. These ones feel like they're pulled from a CotD comic book.

Up to this point I've gotten everything CoTD related (had to return deaths mask print) but will be passing on these. Looks great for comics but not good enough for art prints imo. But the ES is small so for those that like em that's great but I'll be passing on these. Prefer the style they have used for all the previous ones.

Yeah I thought they are a bit too comicy for me.
I liked the previous ones, but these don't interest me at all

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I think a lot of people feel the same way since they're not selling, even with the low ES. I'm quickly losing interest in the COTD line since SS is so slow in getting the statues out.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Yeah, zero interest from me in the latest CoTD prints.

Kind of shocked to find out the penciled signatures are not real. I thought they were.

Yes, very shady bussiness practices. I think they printed the signatures in pencil so it would be harder for people to tell. I'm a little shocked by this myself.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Buy it the Friday before

Yes, that's right the advanced sale email for the print goes out Friday, so being this is Artgerm's masterpiece then bye bye forever if you can't move your human fingers fast enough to make that order. I was highly anticipating the Vampirella print, but this 1 interests me much more.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

For those with Itoya portfolios, anyone make a clasp or something to keep it shut? Just curious

Framed Batgirl came in today. #123/600

I agree and I was fooled about what I was buying. When I log my prints into my database, I was marking signed, and the artist. I still really like these prints, but they are definitely not the product I thought I had been purchasing. Several times I had wished the 'artist' wrote a more solid/darker signature. Ha!

From the reaction going on over at SF, I am not alone in that. Of course people over there were showing their ass when someone accidentally moved the SS section, so they always have pitchforks at the ready.

Still, I no longer think $100 bucks after shipping is such a worthwhile endeavor. Shady. Not sure if I should get the unframed Powergirl or cancel.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I'm very upset by this whole thing. I bought every artgerm prints framed plus others assuming they were signed by the artist(s). These are not worth $90 as I think it's only $50 at best. These are high prices poster prints that we are paying for. If people who knew they were not getting a signed print, I guarantee they would not be selling out that fast.
