Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Does anybody have any suggestions to get a SS print framed for a reasonable price. I always get my prints framed by SS cause I don't want to fuss with it, but I just acquired an unframed Powergirl at a good price on Ebay. Today I visited Michaels, cause they had a 65% off of framing. I didn't notice that the materials were any different from what SS uses, but anyhow the girl quotes me $750 and with the 65% off it would be like $306 minus the tax. And according to her, that was a great price. LOL. I'm an educated person and I know these things can get pretty pricey, but I just want to know how some of you guys get your prints framed.

That is a huge ripe off. We have a local frame place that is way better than Michaels. A 36x24 print framed with double matte is usually $300 without any of their discounts (which they always have coupons too, so usually comes out to around $200ish). My advice would be to shop around for local mom and pop places.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Yeah, that's waaaay over priced.

I get mine locally and are double matted, custom framed, and 99% UV protected glass for $300 average.

Usually I get them when they have a sale going on 30-50% off so yeah usually getting 2 for $300.

Yeah. Just look around for a good place. If you lived in Hawaii I would suggest my place :lol

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I seen the ones you had done and especially the marvel trinity and that was very nicely done. I wish I could go there. :lol

Thanks man.

I know they do have a mail in service but I bet the shipping would be crazy. But I can look into that for you if you'd like, I'll have to look for the site

Thanks, buddy and I will be eternally grateful. It's a SS Powergirl print and I got it in their shipping tube ready to be shipped. It's an Artgerm print and today at Michaels they immediately recognized the artist and quality. That's probably why they quoted me a higher price. :lol

Wow that's pretty lame to jack the price like that.

Apparently they do custom framing online but you need to contact them about it, which is you know, to be expected.

Isn't Michael's advertising framing with lower price points with a Values Design frame + 2 mats + glazing for as much as $180 as long as it is under 36" x 24"?

Plus for custom framing, I think they have a lowest price guarantee if you have a quote from another store as long as your order has the same materials. But I second the recommendation as far as looking into local framing shops. While they may charge a bit more, they can customize it to your liking. Plus you know that your print is in good hands.

I don't think too many people use Michaels cause for being a big chain of stores their prices are like 4x what you would pay in a small store. The person didn't tell me about any discounts and I had a 65% off coupon that she was gonna use. She quoted $750 and with the 65% off, it was $306 plus tax. I looked at her like she was crazy. That's why I rather just let SS frame it, but this 1 was an EBay win. In my right mind, unless people are insane, I wouldn't pay over $200 for a framing job unless the item is worth $$$$$.

Thanks, buddy. I will definitely contact them, cause there has to be better options in the world.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

SS uses that plastic or plexi glass for their glass no? I prefer real glass.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I remember that someone said that the glass isn't UV protected
