I did that with mine because the replacement (suit) sucked. Just make sure u don't cut the material.

If u haven't Destroyed the first Psy suit, just peel the top carefully. It's glued on but can be easily remove. You will need to buy glue though.

Good luck. It should work. SSC used white glue and is only used on limited spot. Once you take the top off, remove the excess glue before regluing it.

Agreed, even though i picked up the EX I decided to go with the reg version look. So if you like the character I highly recommend it!

Damn it same here!! so either 50 bucks off on a in-stock / preorder or $45 refund to my CC & if i don't want those options I'll have to return the statue for a full refund...and have psylocke missing from my collection i guess i'll keep her & hopefully the paint won't get worse.

To get it repainted, it will cost over $150+ to fix it.

why would you keep a broken statue? return it for full refund, then look for one with good paint. There were bunch for sale on ebay i saw earlier that seller explicitly mentioned perfect paint. Or just buy another one off sideshowtoy their later batches dont seem to have this issue (mine is still perfect).

at least negotiate for a higher refund with them over the phone, they are aware of the paint issue so it shouldnt be too difficult. Tell them it will cost $150 to repaint at least, ask for a $100 refund etc..

dont take ____ from sideshow for what obviously is a widespread quality issue originated by them.

Pics below. Looks fine overall. I think the paint on the leg bands is a little better than the original, but still a little sloppy. The suit seems to fit okay, even a little on the tight side. No sign of leg cracks, but as everyone knows, at least one replacement developed cracking later, so.... who knows.

Sorry about the pics. Using my wife's old camera, no instructions, kind of clunky.
