Grail. Grail. Grail. People use that word so much around here that I just got to chuckle. IMO, I doubt anything Sideshow produces these days will ever reach the status of a Grey Hulk PF EX, X-Men 1 Dio EX or Dr Doom PF EX. You should be collecting because you like something, not how much it is going to be worth. Besides, Sideshow will replace the Psylocke bodies that have paint cracks so it's not like this piece is going to be that rare to find in excellent condition.

That's the crux of it, there is a waitlist for replacements, and they might not replace all the bodies that are cracked but rather offer a $50 refund or a return once they run out of replacements.

Lets say for whatever reason they can't replace the body, then of least the area that it is flaking is in between the purple bands on the legs. I would think eventually I could get that painted over properly. Although I would rather not have to do that.

Only some. I think it's done in different batches. I'm hoping mine was a good batch.

Using the word perfect & grail on what Sideshow has been producing lately, most especially with the Marvel license is just funny.

Some Psylocke pieces may not have the cracks on the paint but that doesn't make it perfect, I'm willing to bet my left nut that the paint app on the leg is still sloppy as well.

Imperfections will always be there, it all comes down to what the collector can & will tolerate.

with skiman & your skills, you guys should just repaint them yourself, i bet it will come out infinitely better than whatever replacement heads ss will send.

wish i can paint like you guys, then i will repaint every piece i get from sideshow.

Already doing it for one the few rogues i have. Shame she had issues, prices went down and was able to snag a few under retail. Wonder if i will get that luck with psylocke.

Never smash unless you have the replacement in hand. They've never asked me to destroy the old one before I got the new of anything.

I'd only smash what is necessary to replace ie base, body and regular sword. The rest I kept to compare but, my replacements have been perfect so far.

I never even got an email aobut a replacement but SS shipped me something coming in tomorrow, I can only guess its the replacement.

I just checked out an exclusive that's for sale locally. It looked extremely nice with only minimal paint rubs on the red paint on the base. The legs, hair, etc were free of any chips or cracks. I hesitated purchasing it though because it seems that even the nice samples will likely eventually deteriorate over time. Is this the consensus? Or should I just buy it for the $100 over retail?
