There should be no "QC extra fee" simply because this is one of the easiest paint job I've ever seen. I'd agree with you if this had some kind of intricate paint job, say, I wouldn't mind paying 50$ extra for the next Red Sonja PF if this guarantees I get the skin tones painted properly. In a statue made by literally three colors (white, grey, black), I don't see the point.
Even then, I would be super suspicious... I mean, the P2 Maquette is supposed to be so expensive due to the intricate paint job - and we're discovering now that they're using decals on a good chunk of the body and on the head sculpt.

That is quite the compliment saying it looks like an easy paint job. I don't think the photos do the piece justice.

Thanks for posting that...I've been checking and wondering when the ES was going up. I thought it would be less than 500 but maybe there was a good demand for it? Or maybe Sideshow is hoping the new Star Wars movie will bump up the sales on all things Star Wars

I'm a pretty huge fett fan, but I actually like the stormie better then fett so far. The details seem way too soft on him... they are a bit on the stormie too other then the helmet but just too much for on fett :| i hope vader is better ;p

Well, what's been seen of Boba Fett theoretically isn't final. I thought the angles and stuff on the helmet were too soft, as well, and I e-mailed Sideshow about it. Maybe you'd like to do the same. It can't hurt, can it? It's certainly possible that if enough people bring that stuff to their attention they'll make sure to get things right.

Well, what's been seen of Boba Fett theoretically isn't final. I thought the angles and stuff on the helmet were too soft, as well, and I e-mailed Sideshow about it. Maybe you'd like to do the same. Just like with the new predator right? If it was another company I'd be inclined too, with SS I have no doubt in that I'd be wasting my time and hopes. I'll probably get the stormie down line if I can get a bit of a deal and Vader assuming he looks great. Fett I'll have to see. It's not just the helmet for me, though that doesn't help all of it seems kinda soft. The undersuits need a bit more detail/folds and the armor pieces could use some more edges. The stormie helmet looks great but I think it would look better if he was a bit more refined all over. They look like they'd fit in Star Wars Rebels :<

He's really grown on me over the past couple months, I really like original helmet look over the exclusive helmet. Liking the sleek design more and more, but the base is lame imo. I have him PO'D but he'll be the first to go if I need to cancel something because of these 1/3 scale Prime 1 batman lines keep coming out.

How do you think this stormtrooper would look next to bobba fett pf? 1/5 vs 1/4 doesnt sound good, but I saw a video from one of the cons that had these two next to eachother and the size difference didn't seem that pronounced.

Jumped in on this and Fett as I liked the options on the EX versions on the switch out buckets. Used some rewards points on each to get them down to $385.00 shipped on each. Now to wait for Vader.

This one has been toying with me for months! I keep being drawn back to it. It's only the price making it a difficult decision as I really like everything about it. I'd have to get Fett also mind.
