May be a good idea, I think fluffy midsection aside, a little larger commando head with accurate dimensioned goggles would turn this figurearound. When previewed I was really hoping the full reveal would look alot like a blacked out beachhead with some nice goggles. Ah well...

They're not going to fix the goggles. But in four years when they release SE v3 based on the 1989 figure for $300 he'll have an extra portrait with properly sized goggles as a bonus just like they did with the visor on this one.

Was sooooo close in pulling the trigger. Decided to just further mod v1 with parts I can gather up from this release. Hopefully it does turn out to be a better figure then what I'm seeing.

SS really needs to scrap the entire figure and hound and start this project over from scratch. There is not $200 in this figure, maybe not even $100 here. I was really interested in this and just can't bring myself to order. I really hope for the ones optimistic for changes and are ordering get them, but I will pass until updates are shown. Sad too.

Funny thing, Firefly was the catalyst that got me into the 1/6 collectible world. Such a bad ass figure, at least IMO.

Read his backstory...he is meant to be a "prequel" version of the Snake-Eyes we know from the first "ninja" version. They mention his history of living in the isolated cabin in the woods and how he befriended Timber. This explains the simpleness of his clothing and the jacket. He is Snake-Eyes before he became a Joe!

Also, the specs say his clothes are by TAD (Triple Aught Design). He is meant to look like he has been out in the woods in isolation and not on missions - until Cobra arrives at his cabin along with Storm Shadow.
