1/6 Sideshow Snowtrooper Commander

IMO, SSC has has been on a roll with their armored figures as of late. But for some reason, the eye piece on those Snowtrooper/Commander masks seems to be hard for them to nail.

From those shots the HT looks better imo.. I think the light is causing a yellowish hue to the SS one but the chest armor looks overly large compared to the HT. Maybe it is the angle but from what we got on the SS snowtroopers I don't have much hope. Why can't HT release theirs? They already did it, at least a promo of it. WHY!!!!!!

Well, the only things those pictures did was make me want to order the HT ESB Snowtrooper.

Wait, wait, wait! So Sideshow AND Hot Toys BOTH made the Snow Trooper Commander? These are two different figures. The Hot Toys details are quite different and more accurate. That Sideshow helmet/mask looks terrible.

Yes, if they release this figure it only delays the Hot Toys version.

Add me to the list of people not happy with sideshow doing this. It looks so inferior and will cost the same or more than the Hot Toys version.

Just give us the Hot Toys version!!

The HT version was only shown briefly at a single show (Anicom,) right? I've seen pics of the same Anicom set-up/display case and the Snowie Commdr isn't there, so it looked like it was added later in the show. I seem to recall that the other stuff - like the Gonks - were shown at other shows. If so, it would make the HT snowie Commdr different and perhaps less likely to see light of day if it was only ever shown once, and briefly at that. really sad, because it is a great looking figure.

Yeah except it's now highly unlikely the HT Commander ever gets released. That's the point here.

Exactly. The HT Snowtrooper Commander looks very cool, which is not the case with the SSC version. If HT would release theirs, then I'd buy it in a second. With SSC version I'm not sure I'd spend the money on as it stays now, they really need to make that helmet look properly and not like a sad deflated balloon
