It's a indisputable fact that the original comiquette is the best & absolute definitive Spider-Man representation in statue form. Once you have acquired that piece you need never worry about any other Spider-Man statue out there that will even begin to rival the one true original masterpiece comiquette.The same can be said for the original Cap,Hulk & Thor pf. I will unfortunately have to settle for the new Cap pf because I do not want to pay over a G for the old school one.

I'm pretty sure that rests in the eye of the beholder. It is great I agree and nothing yet has matched its dynamic presence in 1/4th to date.

I do think the original is a little better overall, it's definitely a grail despite some sloppy paints part. The base is fantastic, pose is brilliant and Spidey is huge. But I think the new comi is also fantastic, love everything about it. So definitely can understand those "settling" with the new comi with the prices the old one goes for.. I hope to get both, as well the Koto Unleashed which I have. Three fantastic Spidey statues, and then I have to be done with the Spidey character in my collection -- except I need the black one as well. I think for me Spidey is the one character now who have that many great statues, even though Batman is my biggest favourite.

I agree. Even after seeing what the new comiquette looked like, I bought the original off a member here. I had the 1/4 comm and loved it. I really like the matt paint on this one and think I prefer it.

If they choose wisely, then without a doubt they would choose the sublime 1/4 com.Anybody who begs to differ must be very small in the pants.

I think everyone is entitled to there own opinion. I like both a lot but if I had to choose one I would choose the new one. It is because JSC is one of my favorite artists though. Both deserve there own merits.

They are both great but two different scales. And two very different prices.

That would be cool. Black Spidey is my favorite Marvel costumed hero and McFarlane's Spiderman work I really liked a lot. Had all the Amazing stuff and the Spiderman as well.

Spider that is HILARIOUS . I completely agree with you 100%! I have the Koto and will get the new comiquette but when it does come to my fav and I've only seen it once in person TO ME it's the Original by far . I will have that piece in my collection one day no matter what it cost.
