i'd rather spend my money on a custom that i know will at least have good black lines. Computerfly's Spidey conversion and Brans BIB conversion is better than this imo. $400 through SS is just too much imo for something with sloppy lines.

I will say that I'm sure happy that I was in a position that I was able to pick it up early!

Now you need to get a few of those manipulated photos out now.

Sure, but what option do most of us have? You give me either of those two you refer to for $400 and I'll buy it in a heartbeat :)

:lol I shall do my best. Yeah, I'm extremely happy to have this guy early also. I think he is my new favorite. I'll have to see for sure after the initial "HOLY MOFO" wears off. :)

I just did this one quickie of a pic I took before my cam battery died. It ain't the best, but it's all I got for now. I have a few things to do today and tonight, but I'll get on the digital manipulation and painting as soon as I can!

true, but if someone has $400 to spend on this, why not spend a little more for perfection? thats how i look at it anyways. i only want one red/blue Spidey in my collection and this one isn't it.

IMHO this is the best and only spidey I will have. Just my opinion though.

The black conversion to blue and red was extremely impressive in my opinion, but I think this piece is an excellent piece and will represent Spider-Man very nicely in my setup.

I even like it with pajamas.

I think the actual comiquette looks nice, but looks too "cartoony" to go with the detailed venom and carnage (imo).:peace

"A little more"? I would like to know what those guys charge, then. For the statue plus the paint/work, I can't imagine it would run you less than $800-1000. To me, that's a bit higher than what this guy goes for :D

ok sideshow's QC needs to get on the ball here. i had to send back the hulk comi not too long ago and now i'll have to send back my spidey comi that i got in today. there are too many paint rubs/inconsistencies as well as a chip on the wall. take a look for yourselves:

$800 at least - and then of course the cost and potential damage of having it shipped back and forth.

This is certainly not as good as the customs, but still fantastic, and a welcome addition to my collection.
