See my comment above. I really can't justify this expenditure I'm afraid. I'm on a very small income right about now and even though I adore this head sculpt I just cannot afford it. :(

If this had come out towards the end of next year, maybe, but now, not so much.

You just added that!! I didn't see it before! :lol

I think Spike will sell out over Comic Con. He's going to be shown and there will be thousands upon thousands going. He'll be a gonner.

And thank you Anzik. I was going to post those for everyone but you did it. :D

Does anybody know why is Sideshow in such a rush?
For years nothing on the BtVS front.
Then (Throne of the Slayer) Buffy, nearly a year then Willow, six months on Faith, and now one month and Spike. I keep expecting Angel any minute now.:impatient:

Because I recently talked to TPTB, they decided to make 2011 the 'Year of the Slayer.' :yess: :lol

I'm thinking it's because of comic-con. Is anyone else thinking the same thing? What better way to sell your products then at con? If they get the bulk of them up for display, they'll make way more money. And the Buffy line isn't as strong as it used to be. So they probably want to introduce their stuff at this time, so new people see it and go "ooooooh." Buffy: "aren't you just going oooohh?"

Sorry...

We all love this line, but in the end, it's not their strongest seller. I think they were smart to do it how they are.

I can see the Comic Con aspect of it, but when Angel is announced well after Comic Con, I can't see the price getting any cheaper.

The prices wont go down. It's been a real let down to see the prices rise. As you can see by my comparison shot, these new statues are quite smaller than the Pf's, yet the price remains the same, or higher. And I believe they will get to be closer to $300 before long, as the PF's are seemingly over $300 now. I have had to stop collecting because of it. Companies think they need to raise prices to make more money. But in the end, if they lower them a bit, they'd get even more business. :cuckoo:

But we keep buying them. :monkey2

Why? WHY?!?! :gah:

Because no one else is doing anything. All we have is Sideshow, even if sometimes they don't do the things us collectors want them to. I really think they need to start consulting this board for ideas. We know what would look best.

And Sideshow is top dog as far as I'm concerned. They've been putting out some great looking pieces with this line. I hope it continues for at least a few more installments past Angel.

They haven't for those in the UK I'm afraid. I get far less 'bang' for my buck and so these things work out even more expensive sadly. :(

To say nothing of the extra expense now that Sideshow doesn't have an EU warehouse anymore.

It's always been an expensive hobby, but it does get cheaper as time goes on. Of course it helps when the house I bought is paid off after twenty five years, and my car is over twenty five years old so no road tax.

As Xander said "I'm car Guy !"
I retired 3 years ago with a full pension, God loves the boomers.:lol

Well they didn't love me because I'll be left with bugger all sadly.

Moneys tight and getting worse by the day. :(

I feel your pain (as I'm sure many do). Money is tighter every day. But being a "man of a certain age", and suffering from an OCD completist collector disorder, and being a big Buffy fan, what am I to do? ;)

Well as a women of a 'certain age' I don't know, spend it I imagine. Or in my case, err, not. :wink1:

It's true that thanks to the strong performance of Euro compared to the Dollar, I've saved around 70-80€, and that, right now, is A LOT of money for me. It's a good time for Euro-collectors to buy from the US! And it was about time :)
