The rifle is a nice addition to the Scout, and I have to say I'm really looking forward to the AT-AT driver's rifle as well.

If they had appeared on screen I'd be all over these EX rifles and pistols. Since they were not I'd prefer using something that was, like a Sandtrooper binocular or a DLT-19 rifle instead.

BTW just got some plastic plants/grass I intend to use on display with the bike and Scout.

Yeah, that rifle was my favorite part of the whole set. Certain EX's - like Hammerhead's staff, IG's blade and the Scout's rifle - just seem like they "should" have been onscreen because they really enhance the look of the character and feel very true to the world of that character.

Glad I was never interested in the Scout rifle, nor the Kenner type pistols that came with the other troopers. They are nice for who likes them, but not for me, I prefer screen accurate stuff.

If you like screen accurate, I'm not sure why you'd like the SSC Scout.

Eh, you can nitpick anything I guess, but SSC Scout helmet is the movie costume combined with this guy...

The Scout is one of my least favorite SSC troopers, exactly because of its inaccuracies, which some are blatant. But still a nice figure. And the bike is great.

I think I'm going to order one of the restocks. I have a customized Hasbro speeder bike and the Hasbro gear even on a upgraded body does not do it justice.

The Hasbro can be made to look better than the Sideshow. Scout I mean, not the bike - though the H bike is decent.

I think that hasbro with tomy helmet is a great low price Biker! You only need to put the armour o a decent body and a jumpsuit!

It's a little too small. Nowhere near as undersized as the other Tomys like ATAT Driver, but still a bit noticeable.

Ahoy!

Working on this guy a little bit...
Modified the torso so the arms would hang better. Its got its issues like most figures, but I dig it. The huge recesses where the thighs meet the arse are a huge eyesore. I ended up padding that out to help eliminate that mondo crease (not evident here). I'll post pics of that, along with the gauntlet/hand mod in the customs thread later...

It's a little too small. Nowhere near as undersized as the other Tomys like ATAT Driver, but still a bit noticeable.

Really I think a lot of it depends on the body. Here is one of my Battlefront customs on a DiD body which are very similar to a TT slim. All Sideshow armor and a Tomy helmet. Truthfully I like this look better than the Sideshow helmet. And it still has a figure head in the inside too.
