Looks good! Yeah these bodies need some padding to look right around the waist. You still planning on mounting the Marmit head on this one?
You still planning on mounting the Marmit ...?
Hey now -- that's just not right.
half-dog point set screws.
I've got my Black 2 and Black 3 buckets almost done - just need to find a way to add the aurebesh ID numbers on the front.
I used the same heat-form auto vinyl to add the gunmetal paint apps on Mauler as I used for Backstabber's stripes. I also added a coat of clear orange over the lenses to give them an amber hue that I've always pictured in my head. I think the lenses are supposed to be gray or green, but oh well.
Thanks for the heads up on the brand.....
I may try a clear green.....got my little grey tubing deals in from the lego.....gonna see what I can do with the lateral hose...
this is an interesting page on 501st requirements:

Would love to see them in green.. and the gray hose installed . Was the hose in ANH, or just ROTJ?
I just got my second SS TIE pilot in the mail! Gonna futz and fix today, and then pose the two with ANH Vader.
I used Tamiya clear orange x-26, and I painted the outside. Yes, it makes the surface even more smooth and shiny, like a Future floor polish effect.
I've read that the hero tie helmets were supposed to have green lenses, but I think they were gray in all the scenes I remember from ANH. And in all the cockpit light reflections, they always looked amberish to me.
Yeah those Tamiya clears do work a kind of magic when painted onto lenses - make them look very real.
