I'm all for attendees getting the relief of not dealing with PPO madness, whatever, but the playing field needs to be level for everyone of that's how it's going to be and things went wrong on this one and it's imbalanced. Again, a slip up happened, they'll learn from it, next year everything will be aces.

Definitely not a reason to stop ordering exclusives at the con. Saying they should is just sour grapes. Being able to order an Ex a few days in advance is really the least advantage for spending the money to go. SS will learn next year for this and move on. Just buy 1 Reg and 1 Ex if you want 2.

The Doom PF EX was oversold because of attendee orders. That hasn't hurt its resale value over time.

Ya, but that's not really an answer. Odds are people that were looking to get 2 Ex. were because they wanted 2 Ex. I was going to because since we were allowed. I thought it'd be nice to have both figures fully accessorized. I'll live with 1 and 1, but doesn't change that an option was available to some and taken from others.

It's not sour grapes. Why should you get to order an exclusive that doesn't go on sale for another week just because you went to the con? You spending the money to go there has nothing to do with it.

Actually I think having to spend hundreds of dollars on airfare, hotels, admissions, etc. just to get a decent chance at preordering a product is a little different than having to stay up late.

If handled right, the only advantage they really get is avoiding a headache. I haven't heard of too many cases where people that were on time for the PPO missed out on getting an order in, at least when the servers don't crash, so whether at the con or at home, those same people would get their orders in, I don't see any extra advantage except being able to sleep in or take it easy on PPO day.

Difference is, it is a posted time that everyone has a chance at. There are no 'sooners'.

I have to call SST tomorrow. I ordered the 2 Storm Trooper exclusives at the con and have the receipt but my account only shows 1. Hopefully they'll fix it.

Well there are a lot of people calling for the end of the GG PCM but I get the comparison.

I'm planning to go next year, but I already know that means quite a few items I'll be saying no to, it's a trade off.

I am definitely going to be there next year, my wife has "instructed" me to book a room as soon as they become available in 2009. I guess she was tired of me ^^^^^ing about all the cool stuff on the net and all the people just roaming around.

If SDCC POs didn't have set ES for the EXCL then it'd solve a bit of the issue.

My account still doesn't have a record of my order online, so that makes me a little nervous. I would feel better if I were able to see it online before the PPO, but as long as I have a hard copy I'm not worried.
