Medicom's prices are crazy. $70 for a Jawa? I do like the look of their Han & Anakin, but thank goodness the scale is too small.

I like having both, the Sideshow AND Medicom versions of the figures. It adds some great variety to my collection. I am getting everything from BOTH companies!

Thats true... I'm glad Medicom is still making figures, but I don't like them as much as what Sideshow is doing and the price just doesn't seem worth it.

Yeah, for the price, Medicom's Maul was a total ripoff. It felt rushed and lacked the overall quality that a figure in that price range should have. Then comparing it to Sideshow's, well, it was no comparison at all. We got a hell of a lot more accessories with Sideshows at a cheaper price and the sculpt was considerably better. I'm hoping we get the same experience with the Stormtroopers.

I don't have the Medicom Maul (and don't think it's worth the premium over the Sideshow version), but I thought the consensus was that the sculpt and outfit were better than the Sideshow one.

Actually, I thought Medi's Stormtrooper was pretty nice in terms of quality and sculpt. I have to admit it was even a little nicer than the Marmit Stormies in my collection.

...just too damn small :maul

Medicom's Maul was odd, lanky, skinny and really disappointing overall. SideShow made him look great in the pics on their site, but after opening him up, I was extremely disappointed. It didn't even come close to the SSC Maul. Medicom set the bar with their ESB Vader and save for the Troopers (both clone and storm), haven't really hit the mark. I cancelled my order for the Emperor's Royal Guard because there's no armor underneath the robes. A disappointing lack of attention to details.

As for Medicom's Stormtrooper, to date, it is (arguably) the best 1:6 Stormtrooper. I thought the pics were initially one of the 501st posing for the photos until I got mine and took a closer look. It's THAT good. Sideshow's will hopefully top that. Especially with their new HT body.

What do you think, are we going to see the Sandtroopers soon after the stormies are released?

I'd like to get them all. Hopefully SS will make all 3 of the Sandies plus the 3 rifles:

- MG-34 aka DLT-19 Heavy Blaster Rifle
- MG-15 aka Heavy Blaster Rifle
- Lewis aka BlasTech T-21 Light Repeating Blaster

I just finished putting together and displaying a T-21 with my Marmit Sandtrooper last night, made from a 21st Century 1/6th Lewis gun. It turned out pretty nice and I hope it's something Sideshow would include when doing Sandtroopers.

I hope so, too. The Sandtroopers are my favorite "Trooper" style in the series. I just hope that they either leave the weathering to us or take the time to do it right (very subtle, at the least.) The blotch weathering done on the Marmits really looked awful.

It's not just the Marmit versions. My Medicom Sandtrooper's weathering is awful too. Especially the sand apps! I think it's across the board though. Including Hasbro's lines (both 12" and 3 3/4") as well. It seems that instead of being deployed to Tatooine or other sandy locals throughout the galaxy, these poor troopers are ordered to stand still while being freckled by a Rancor's giant diarrhea fart.

I ordered two of them. One will become a sandtrooper. The dragon models MG34 with the leather sling also works great for sandtrooper bashes. It would be great if Sideshow would sell sandtrooper expansion kits: Backpack, shoulder pauldron, ammo case etc...Let the collector do the weathering...

Someone's review said that they thought the Marmit figures looked like they were involved in a ^^^^-flinging fight. That phrase always stuck with me.

But that one's gonna stick with me more!!!

so to speak....right?????..........:lol

Damn straight!! :lol

The Marmit wasn't too bad to fix though. I used non-acetone nail polish remover and took most of it off, then repainted the figure.

yep, thats exactly what i did with mine as well.
