From my personal experience, you should just pre-order 4 pc and once this order is confirmed, cancelled your previous order of 2 pc.

I pre-ordered the Hobbits Sam and Frodo seprately and they came shipped together, helping me save on shipping costs. On the other hand, I pre-ordered 2 pc of Bespin Luke seperately and they came shipped seperately just a few days from each other, resulting in higher shipping costs for me.

Hmm never thought of that solution, thanks.
:)

Let's hope I will be able to cancel the 2 after I ordered the 4. ;)

Why people who are buying many stormtroopers want tons of the exclusive I have no idea...

Surely it's the officer who has the pistol, like it was in whatever book I read it in...

1 officer to a small group of troopers...not everyone has to have a pistol...

This is why I want extra of the blaster pistols...for Officer kitbashes.

Did anyone else notice that the exclusives were set less than Vader? Vader's LE status was 1977 but the Exclusive Stormtrooper is set at a measly 1500?!

Now we know why the record set by the Darth Vader was broken by the Stormtrooper. (as far as sales are concerned)

Not like I'm gonna try to think of a reason why, it just blows me away that they'd set an exclusive amount that low (1500) especially given the fact that easily more than 50% of the people ordering will want more than one. And given the circumstances, now most of them will have to just order two of the regular version vs. one Ex and one Reg.

The whole one exclusive limit on the stormtroopers doesn't bother me at all. It's fair enough - one exclusive is all anyone gets of any of the other Sideshow figures anyway so why should this one be all that different?

But then again I'm not an army builder. Sure I would like two stormtroopers and right now have one ex and one reg on order, but I don't mind that the two are different - helps me tell them apart!

I don't see the problem actually, if you want to build an army you are allowed to buy 7 (!!) Regular Stormtroopers so that is more then enough for most people I think.
Were we ever allowed to buy more then 1 of an exclusive fig?

My disappointment isn't for those who couldn't order two exclusives, or even for those who were able to order one. It's for those who weren't able to get even one as they went "wait list" at just four minutes in. This is a bit different though, and you'd have to admit that. It's not like the rebel troops (ex: Endor troops) who NEED and all HAD different faces because their faces are exposed. Vader looks great with two on either side of him but let's assume you use Vader in a fighting display, then there's still Praji who'll also need some flanking either side.

Bottom line is it just would've been nice for others to have a chance at that exclusive option.

Hmm okay I get where you are coming from, still considering the Exclusive only has a blaster that was never seen on screen as a bonus makes it far less desirable.

2 was the limit at the Comic-con and then when pre-order came they limit it to only 1 ex.

Don't see a problem with not being able to order a army load of Exclusive Stormtroopers. He comes with a blaster never used in the films. Regular version is fine for army builders and will be much cheaper though other online retailers.

The exclusive item is not the concern. It as useless as most exclusive items. Point is, some people were allowed to order two exclusives Stormtroopers, and others not. That's what's wrong here.
But everybody had a chance to participate at the PPO if they wanted. If you didn't even manage to get one exclusive Trooper, either blame it on your luck, or on the fact that Sideshow allowed the con crowd to order two.

Yeah, I find it kind of funny that people who are supposed to be such sticklers for 100% screen accuracy are going so ape butt over a blaster that wasn't in the movies.

Weird--the Stormtroopers in my online order from my account say "Contact to Cancel" while everything else from SDCC is listed normally. Interesting...
I've got that too, for some very very old orders. LotR helms. Although I've received them years ago, they are still listed in my order history, and I can't get them out of it... "contact to cancel".

That little blaster will most likely mean a 100% increase in resale value if/when someone should decide to sell. So it quite literally adds value to someone's collection.
