That sounds strange. What mail carrier was this? Don't they have multiple delivery attempts before returning a package?

Probably not in this particular case. I am staying at a motel while I work in Phoenix. I just happened to go home to California on the day it was delivered and had not reserved my room for the next week. So the peple at the motel said I wasn't there any more...my fault.

In the Q&A today they said that down the road they'll probably release runs of Stormies with minor differences for ESB and ROTJ. Pretty good excuse to do more runs, I'll pick up a second one if they do it.

I agree....There are legitmate differences, so bring them on....and I do not mean more Unleashed Stormies

Speaking of which, i was just searching for those differences.. i used to have them bookmarked, but must have lost them.. you know of any good sites that reference the changes?

Anyone notice that the helmet on the trooper on the far left looks more like the stunt helmet than the others. I guess those are just all prototypes so guess they are supposed to look different. Just thought it was interesting.

Also, this is what SS says about future Stormtrooper releases in their Q&A:
Why is the regular edition of the Star Wars Stormtrooper 12-inch Figure being made as a limited edition of only 6,000 pieces? Wouldn’t it be better to make it an open edition figure like the grey Art S. Bucks? That way collectors could pick up additional Stormtroopers at their convenience? While it will be fun to “army build” them, it isn’t exactly affordable all at once. I think quite a few more of these could be sold over a long span of time.

This first run, in this packaging, and in this exact form is strictly limited to 6,000 pieces. We do expect recurring demand for Stormtroopers, and will consider re-releasing the figure in the future. In that case, we would likely make some small changes (ie: changing details of the armor/helmet to represent the ROTJ versions, etc), to legitimize the new production, and to validate the edition size on this release of the Stormtrooper.

Man that pic really makes me want to pick up more Stormies and Piett.

Besides Piett and Vader I've got exactly four stormies on order.:D

However, I'd like to build a Tantive IV doorway and pose Vader as he's first introduced (along with a few stormies).

No, I could never hope to notice that in a blurry pic...

I know there are other details that distinguish the stunt from the hero (most of which I don't know). I am simply going by the height of the black band above the lenses. I always thought the stunt helmet had the band higher and the hero helmet had the band lower closer to the lenses. I know there are other width differences and no I can't see those either. Guess, I'm wrong by using that to make the statement that it looks like the stunt helmet, sorry.
