Well, I've had some recent luck selling some stuff that has freed up space and I'm only using my BA now so I only buy what I have $$ for.
That's a smart move, Josh. Keep the purchases under control.
It will. I really made changes in that over the last several months. I realized that what I had done was out of control and only getting worse.
That's what I'm planning to do with my taxes, fill in the hole I dug using my CC for collectibles and only use money from my bank account so if I can't afford it I don't get it, too easy to buy stuff when the CC allows you to spend money you don't have.

Yup filling in that whole. I sold a bunch of stuff to BBTS which will give me some collecting funds to get stuff from a retail shop and not out of my BA because of the funds. It is way way too easy to buy stuff with a CC.
Bout time for me. Was getting pretty stupid honestly. I don't miss not buying stuff now like I thought I would. It feels so much better to be smarter.

Sadly, I'm fighting right now to find a way to avoid this, but it's quite possible I won't be a "new" collector before the year's out. I'm trying to move out on my own and a lot of appartments look to run around 3/4 of my monthly pay and then add gas and food. I really want to get out though and as much as I hate it, I'd rather move my life forward and leave this all behind than to hold onto this hobby and have no life besides it.
That is the direction I see myself headed.

I'm trying to concentrate my collecting into three different lines: The Dark Knight, Iron Man, and Star Wars. That's it. After I get a good collection of those I'll pretty much just become a casual collector picking up only things that really wow me. This hobby is too damn expensive.
