I don't know, if the movie is terrible I don't think I can bear the sight of it but if it turns out to be a good piece I'll be in a little bit of a pickle.

Me too Spidey! I really wrestled with passing on the comic PF but I think I've finally got over it.

So if the reveal of this guy looks as good as the sneak, I don't think I'll be able to resist!

I can't believe they wouldn't put this up for PO before the movie opens but SS has certainly done stranger things!

Hype and anticipation for the film are near a fever pitch right now.
If it goes up for PO after SDCC, some of that will have naturally begun to dissipate.
If the movie is very good, the best time for them to solicit it would be a week or two after it opens, when word of mouth is strongest, and the people that walked out loving the movie want something good related to it NOW.
That way they could have a high ES, move a bunch immediately and then get another big bump after they showed it at CC.

Soliciting it before the film opens wouldn't kick it off with a frenzy because the film is still an unknown quantity at this point. too unknown to throw $400 on something from it.

Those are my guesses anyway. Personally I hope they solicit it later rather than sooner so I can approach the purchase with some sense of sobriety.

See I ordered the comicbook on... Like you didn't know...lol. So the question is will I love this one enough to put two Superman statues in my collection at the expense of say a Spiderman. Just being responsible with my ordering ...lol

Hype for a movie like this is RARELY bigger then the NIGHT BEFORE it opens, and they could LITERALLY PO THIS THAT NIGHT. Not unless it is ABSOLUTLEY fantastic, at which point the hype just continues to grow. For example, as much as the Nolanits will chase down a Dark Knight PF whenever it comes out, the hype from THOSE films has faded now, and SSC missed the boat by quit a bit. In the end you have to figure they. Ay be at least considering it. Harley was up for PO a few weeks after her first real teaser... This could follow the same mold.

We'll see. I am looking forward to seeing the full reveal, almost as much as I am the film.

Though I think I may be OD'ing on the hype at this point. I'm going to have to labor to tune it out for another couple weeks. I don't want my first viewing of it asphyxiated by the weight of too much anticipation.
