I wonder why this isn't in the Coming Soon section on SS page? I guess they are just going to surprise us with it one day? I didn't realize EB had already made this figure. It looks pretty bad ***. Looks like SS copied them though even down to the ex thumbs up hand.

EB made a figure. This is a fixed statue.

I think everyone copied the movie. :rotfl

I don't understand the animosity between figure and statue collectors. I think both are great collectibles and both can look amazing...with or without something as petty as joints.

While I do prefer the EB T-800, the SS looks pretty good too. Either would look great on anyone's shelf/detolf/whatever.

Its because it is black and white to some people. Statues are statues and toys are toys and these type of people think no matter how good the toys look they are still toys. I am not one of them though, but know many who are and can understand where they are coming from because getting lots of accessories with figures I think is really unnecessary and IMO makes it look like that these high class figures are aimed at kids. :cuckoo:

Lmao post of the year!

So true!!! :rotfl :rotfl

i have the hot toys t-800 BD ss ex version on order. i think it's the best figure OR statue representing the t-800 out there.

I have this on PO as well, but I would say Enterbay's figure is the best representation of the T800 I've seen. It looks so damn real! The HT figure comes with more posing options but still looks like a toy compared to the Enterbay figure.

QFT. This statue looks like **** compared to it. Sad, but true. SS should team up with HT and get them to do their headsculpts :)

That aside, SS should play to their strengths. We could use a 1/3 Endoskeleton. Or a 1/4 Future War Diorama. We could use some T-1000 goodness - maybe the chequered-floor moment. Or the twisted look. Some more 1/2 busts would be cool too. We could use more props too. Everythings sold out...and I can't afford £1700 on the 1/2 scale guy. I'd love to see a new, decent endoskeleton that's vaguely affordable. Something around the £800 mark preferably :D

I don't mind Sideshow's sculpts, I think they actually look pretty good, but it's the crappy paint jobs that let them down. Look like a little kid painted them.

I like what Blitzway have done with their new 1/3 scale Bruce Lee statue. Polystone body but with a PVC head like an action figure. You get the best of both worlds and one very realistic looking statue.

Plus, they don't really tend to think about durability either. I had a Spider-Man 3 diorama which broke during a move. Spidey's shooting web wasn't flexible, but made of polystone too. Little things like that irk me about sideshow.

Agreed on the paint jobs. I can't help but feel that SS glory days are kind of behind them. I look at the Stan Winston Predator Bust, the Maquettes, the Endo Cinemaquette...and it's so frustrating that I wasn't collecting then. Those pieces were fantastic and within financial reach. It seems their efforts are focussed on the 1/2 scale stuff and it's a shame.

I'd love to see that level of detail on 1/4 or 1/3 pieces. The Blitzway sounds awesome. I'd like to see what HT or EB could pull off in the statue market if they went all-out too...
