I'm looking at the pose of the PF and even that looks off to me...again, the benefits of having the EB figure is that you can pose it anyway you like (not that i'm saying that have the ability to pose works in every case) but in this case i think it definately benefits....plus the Thumbs Up Exclusive is also a bit lame imo. I'd want an Exclusive to be something i could use to enhance the statue in some way rather than an accompany piece

I do, however, LOVE the PF base!!!!

Yeah it certainly is, but I think that is more of an understatement, the pose just looks weird.

The expression on the PF is a bit too stern for this point in the film. He looked a bit more neutral once the T-1000 was dead. However I guess Sideshow weren't necessarily going for movie accuracy with their pose and facial expression, rather just wanting a cool looking BD T-800 which captures the stern face that Terminator is known for. Regardless of which likeness is better (which I still think is EB) this is a cool looking piece. One only fears for the paintjob its going to get.

A-Dev, after confirming which of the two is more accurate, which of the two would you prefer to have in your collection and why? Cheers bud :)

Do you also buy into the arguement that Statues are better than figures? Would love to hear you opinion :)

Well I speak with bias as a figure-only collector. As such I would buy the Enterbay figure. I haven't really studied the overall accuracy of the PF, only stated that I think the headsculpt likeness on the Enterbay is better. When it comes to the outfit I've always put my faith in these companies to do it right without actually personally comparing what they've done to the film to be honest. And back when the HT DX13 was first shown other people had to point out to me how the facial battle-damage was inaccurate.

On the statues VS figures argument, there's no argument really. Only personal preference. Yeah I'm copping out and sitting on the fence but its true. Each has its own pros and cons.

very well said too. Infact, you raised an interesting point which i forgot to mention. The outfit! I think i have stated this earlier in the thread that i actually prefer the outfit of the PF than i do the EB figure. As great as Enterbay have been so far with their 1/4 line, i do feel that they lack somewhat in the weathering of clothes department. Obviously their first T-800 was the clean version so that figure is not included but the Rambo outfit was as clean as a baby's bottom! For someone who trawled through sandy deserts, muddy puddles, etc...his clothes could have been slightly more worn or had some detail of wear on them? Even the BD T-800 could have been weathered better, as in the leather could have looked more worn just like Sideshows PF version :lecture That along with Sideshows PF base being 100% better than Enterbays base, are the only areas that are superior to the Enterbay version in my opinion.

Like you said, there is no arguement between statue vs figures, purely a matter of preference...in my case i love a bit of both! :rock

listen, i'm not here to cause a gripe between those who have the Enterbay figure and those who are going to pre order the PF...i'm just seeing it from my own point of view although i'm still struggling to see how anyone would think the PF facesculpt is better than Enterbays BD version :dunno For me its a no brainer

Do Statue collectors hate Figures that much that they cant see which is better?

I've never even heard of Enterbay lol. I'm getting the PF. I don't even consider PFs real statues and I hate the soft goods they use for clothes.

I don't have the EB version but I was really close. Now that I've seen the PF I've decided that is the way I'm going to go, but I hear everyone's reservations about production versus the master crafted prototype we are reviewing. That said, I guess this means that I'm a statue guy :lecture
