Yea ...you really can't go wrong with this piece ...the EX or the REG. This statue is killer no matter what.

Even though this statue is very nice, it could have been epic with 2 fairly easy changes.

1) Have a straight ahead portrait.
2) Have a different right hand sculpt without the "come here" finger.

For $1200, Sideshow could have easily added these two items and IMO sold more of this bad boy. I know I would have been more interested since I didn't want to display him at an angle.

Don't matter..they sold all they wanted

I'm sure they did. Just thinking from the collector's viewpoint though on how they could have made this statue even better.

I would've liked a switch out left hand holding a Cosmic Cube. I probably would've POd the EX then. In the end, I just feel this MAQ didn't offer enough to warrant the high price tag on it.

this isn't true. the regular is languishing given how hard they are trying to sell it (cancelling exclusive waitlists, pushing it on social media, highlighting it like crazy on their website).

Languishing? You don't know how close it's being to sold out because es isn't even decided yet.

Has Sideshow ever cancelled a wait list before? Do you really believe they would cancel it on purpose to push collectors onto the regular? It's crazy if they did. But in all fairness this will eventually sell out. People do have to keep in mind it's another ball game when returns start happening. But might be unlikely either

Yes, SSC has canceled Wait Lists before and reopened them. I remember it happened with the OG EX Joker PF. There has been other PFs mentioned but I can't remember them off the top of my head at this moment.

They have NEVER EVER NEVEREVER (smile) cancelled a waitlist weeks after a pre-order. Ask yourself why they decided to do so this time? There is only one logical explanation.

In my view, the preponderance of evidence points to lackluster sales. Why else cancel those on the waitlist and continue to hype the hell out of it on their site and social media if sales are what they expected?

I hope no one is naive enough to think they do all of this (their Wed show, the blog, fb, and so one) for any other reason than to sell statues and figures.

Edit: I know they did it afterwards with Prime1 Mr.Freeze and I would argue the reason was the same.

Who knows maybe they messed up and allowed waaaaaaay more on the waitlist as planned lol. Thing is we will never know for sure. I will say if they are trying to push their collectors edition then their last 2 post (vid with Jim and selfies) are not really helping since those were all for the exclusive. My opinion pls dont kill me lol

The ex sold out in minutes and literally hundreds of people were saying they missed out. There hasn't been demand like this for a statue in a long time.

I think they're looking at this statue as a showcase piece for Sideshow, where they've really elevated their game. I think that's why they're promoting it like crazy, and yes, to generate sales. What's wrong with that?

I don't think it means preorders have been lackluster. The REG ES hasn't been established yet, so why not promote it like crazy, and try to sell as many as possible of a next-level statue? Seems like a good business strategy to me.

The statue has 70 000 views on YouTube

Probably the highest any piece unveiling has had

SMH at these conspiracy theories

So much butt hurt over this piece

You snooze you lose
