Yeah, the Sentinel MAQ was $900. There's definitely a price increase to factor in since that release. That's why I think Thanos will be pushing a G.

We are already there. Just calling it like it is.

If people are willing to pay big money for throne characters like XM Mags and Doom PF on ebay, then they can justify making something as elaborate and ambitious such as this and charging accordingly to the tune of $1500 because they feel they can get that. It's not that outrageous. Further testament to their greed (or as Sideshow super fans call it "smart business") will be if it's an open edition. At these prices, that's just nonsense.

They had the stones to charge accordingly for something like a Voltron and justify it with craftsmanship and many detailed parts....why not Thanos?

Get ready for weeks of belly aching about price...

Sideshow already had the price set or at least a very solid estimate before this was in production. They're a big company and do their market research. I really don't think price speculation on the forums is going to trigger the Sideshow execs to rub their hands together greedily like Mr.Burns and exclaim "excellent!". Lol
