It looks better in some of the videos that have started to float around but really, for the price SS are asking, the whole package comes up short when compared to the stuff Kaustik Plastic have been offering for their "cinema icon' line of figures.
That's the real sting. There's obvious accessories that SS can include in their 1/6 figures and yet they cheapen out time and time again. Regardless of likeness, just look at all the stuff you get with SS 1/6 ROTJ Luke Skywalker including an alternate headsculpt or their 1/6 Comic Gambit. They can include a lot of great and necessary accessories but they just don't, yet they charge about the same amount for just about all their 1/6 figures.

For those of us who like accessories and extra headsculpts, Mezco is the standard IMO. I don't collect that scale but man do they include pretty much anything and everything you could need for any character and I wish more companies would do the same.

All that said, I will agree that it is looking better in latest videos. However, SS still needs to get better at their production paint. I've been repainting SS sculpts since their original Star Wars and LOTR figures. Their production paint has always been their weakest link IMO. Even when they get better they're still behind nearly everyone else in the business except for maybe Star Ace :slap

I received mine today. And I think it’s excellent in hand. It’s way way better in every aspect than any of the really poor customs out here that I held off on getting. Only downside is lack of accessories. But a really nice Dirty Harry.

With all the things that bother me about this figure I too think it's better than many of the "custom" figures out there.
Price is the major factor keeping me from a purchase.

Looks decent from the reviews I’ve seen, better than the Redmans I own.

it’s not a travesty like the Nathan Drake Uncharted figure which looked nothing like the SSC proto.

I think the underlying Clint sculpt is pretty good (slightly caricatured) but the final production paint apps don’t live up to the prototype.

I PO’d Dirty Harry and Blondie - those are essential Eastwood but may not get Preacher after seeing how the final product doesn’t match protos.

I agree it’s overpriced given the lack of accessories and the base is boring. It is though a very good Dirty Harry figure in hand as I said. The sculpt is great and doesn’t look remotely cartoony as has been said by some. Tailoring also very good. I’m a big Dirty Harry fan and have avoided those appalling customs all of which are poor but this is a very good Harry figure.

This is why the silly uniformed negativity early on annoys me. Lots of people who would have loved to get this excellent figure at the initial price are out of luck because they held off due to the hysterical overreaction.

I have to admit I still really like the figure overall, despite a few shortcomings. I'm also intrigued to see how the figure would look with a tailoured custom shirt (maybe Yunsil) that has a neat collar. I think it would enhance the neck area and possibly help the jacket collars sit a bit flatter.

The majority of people who collect these items are "adults" Make a decision to purchase or not. Cannot blame anyone else for your decisions. You might have been influenced, but ultimately you made a choice. In the end, these are toys not the end of the world.

What do you mean? The fact that it’s already waitlisted means that it actually sold pretty well, regardless of the negativity and ppl actually bought it:dunno if someone here didn’t buy it, that’s in them. But this forum does NOT represent the entire collecting community, and those outside of this place obviously did buy this figure, which is good for the Eastwood line as a whole.

It’s also a Sideshow product though, which usually means it’ll come back in stock at least one more time. They tend to reissue their figures at least once before completely gone for good. Not always but it tends to happen. Same with their statues.

I’m a big Clint fan and was excited to get this. Overall, I’m pretty happy with him. Could he have come with some shades, a hot dog, or something else? Sure. But like I said, I like him.

Frankly, I think the only thing really affecting the look of the figure is the lack of detail in the hair.
It really looks like something out of a figure from 15 years ago. Maybe a repaint could bring some more detail out or give it more life.
Otherwise, I think it looks great.

Received the other day, and even by Sideshow standards, this is a disappointing figure.

I've had to repaint the eyes as he looked like he was having a seizure, and have added more differentiation to the hair colour.

The shirt is terrible, but it's stitched shut which will make it a little trickier to replace. The holster attaching to his belt makes the red vest tricky to work with (I detached it). The jacket is oversized (he looks much better without it), and with the jacket on, his neck is definitely too short.

After a lot of modding and painting I can now live with it, but it wouldn't have taken a lot to make this much better out of the box.

Do you haven any images ZedBelkon? Would be great to see him. I think I may end up with a mishmash of Sideshow's figure and Cult King's inspector.
