You guys really are a tough crowd.
The head sculpt looks a bit iffy, but otherwise it looks like a fantastic figure to me.
I know it generally isn't fair to compare a small-run custom to a mass production figure, but I also think it's fair to state that current mass production figures can get much closer in quality to a custom from ten years ago.

I still have this ordered and intend to keep my order because there's enough to work with to achieve a better result, so it's not like Sideshow lost a customer despite my criticism.

From those promo shots, it certainly isn't a bad figure, nor is it a poor representation of Blondie. Is the likeness the best? No, it is in that category of "looks like the character, but not necessarily the actor portraying the character". If you were to swap out the head with one of Trevor Grove Cult King heads, you've got a great figure.

I was thinking the same thing, swap out the head for a better sculpt.

I forgot about it not having a neck. I guess you would need to use a sculpted neck and change bodies.

I object to the high retail price- for that much for a basic figure you should not have to be repainting or moding a figure to get it closer to a likeness- well to be honest the likeness is way off to me. Really a letdown of major proportions. This license was a high profile one and they let these sculpts pass?

What the hell is going on with his neck??? 😬

I like everything but the head. That’s a disaster. Woof. Someone will make a better one but it’s getting tiresome always having to piece a great figure together from these companies when they charge what they do. Disappointed.

Neck beard?
Yeah I think so too.

Probably a good demonstration of why a “neck beard” should not be done when the head and neck are separate pieces.

That said, overall I think this is a pretty cool figure. It doesn’t fit into my collection (Marvel supes for the most part) but if my dad were still alive he would be overjoyed with this as a gift

Am I the only one that actually likes the sculpt and think it looks pretty good? My big complaint here is how they handled the neck; it just doesn't hold a candle to modern day figures which can have a pop on head sculpt, but don't have massive seams/gaps between the neck and the head

I have an Iminime headsculpt with various custom and kit-bash pieces. I think looks better than this . Pale Rider, on the other hand might actually be my favorite Eastwood movie. I will think about picking that up. Also have other resin GB & U headsculpts from over the years. I was trying to put Blondie together for years.

I recently re-watched the 3 "man with no name / Blondie" movies. They are still OK, but I just don't like the character enough to want figures of him - despite how cool he looks. He wasn't a character whose behaviour I particularly admired (says the person who collects murderous alien hunters). I also realised I'd never watched TGTBATU from end-to-end - I think I fell asleep years back the 1st time I tried watching it (I know - sacrilege).

I think there are only TWO Eastwood characters I'd want as 1:6 figures OR statues - Dirty Harry (here's hoping for a version from the 2nd or 3rd movie) and Philo Beddoe (I'll buy ANYTHING & any character from the 2 "Which Way" movies).

I'm sure all these Sideshow releases will sell well-enough to encourage them to continue the line - but it's anybody's guess where they will go next :dunno

I don’t mind the sculpt but I’m also not the biggest fan of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. The sculpt should have had the neck and head be one piece instead of separate.

I think it can be hard sometimes to relate to or admire an antihero persona like the character Clint plays in TGTB&TU.

Personally Ive always liked the antihero character in film. So I really dig Clint's character in TGTB&TU. A bit like Mad Max or Dirty Harry both have very dubious moral compasses but they are compromised by the hostile environment they operate in. I feel both deep down are nice people which given a different set of circumstances would not of had to of adopted the antihero persona in the first place but the world has ground them down to a point where they seem very hostile on the outside and very hard to relate to or have any empathy with.
