It looks fantastic in the QTVR 360. It makes me appreciate the intricacy more. The fine, worn detail on the beak; the creases and folds in the tough hide; the flared nostrils in a show of dominance, confidence, or defiance against those who contest its position in the Styracosaur's Cretaceous environment... It all comes to a confluence wonderfully with the traits I already adored about this piece!

Not quite sure where to post my question concerning the Dinosauria line. Here seems like the best fit, because the Styracosaurus is the most recent release. I've decided to try to pick up the last three exclusives on waitlist and was wondering if I should cancel my regular payment waitlists and go onto flex pay waitlists. Since we have learned that there are separate pulls when items become available with the Patient Zero situation, I just cannot decide. Then again, perhaps there is not even so much interest in this line that I have to worry about my three waitlists converting. Not to say this line is not awesome and full of potential. I'm just looking for the best way to obtain the three exclusives without resorting to ebay.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. :D

Well, the Carnotaurus is not even available on flex pay. And he is the one which is having waitlists called up right now, so there's nothing I can do about that except cross my fingers. I really like the exclusives on these! Might change my wait's on the Tyranosaurus and Styracosaurus to flex pays tomorrow. It might just help. Oh, what to do? OCD kicking in!

Go with the wait list, I've crossed my fingers before and gone with the WL on SS and haven't been denied once.

People always impulse buy these items & drop them later down the track(done it myself). Just get in line quickly to avoid a "possible" sell out. This line is definitely worth it.

Call Sideshow and see if you can be on the flex pay and non-flexpay waitlist and just cancel the one that doesn't come through. If you have to pick one, my guess would be the non-flexpay is better since I imagine that one has a higher quantity and does not have a penalty for cancelling. At lesat I think FlexPay has a cancellation penalty.

Thanks for the advice. Flexpay does have a cancellation penalty, but I am unclear about the policy when it comes to a waitlist item. What I mean is:

If I waitlist an item on flexpay and cancel, are cancellation fees incurred, even though a live order was never realized?

At any rate, I would really like to see a conversion on the Carnotaurus over the weekend. I know SS does automated conversions, and they always seem to hit my account and email over Saturday nights.

No, I don't think you get a cancellation fee for a waitlist. I only bring up the cancellation fee because I'm thinking less people may cancel it since they would lose money. So the non-flex may have a better chance of converting. But that's just a guess.

Agent - I was actually just thinking of that myself. And now that it occurred to me, I'm finding it even stranger that we only saw flex-pay conversions on the Patient Zero Exclusives. Not that everyone who orders reports in here, or would want to, but there were four conversions and I'm pretty sure they were all flex-pay. At any rate, I have decided to stick with a regular waitlist on the Syracosaurus and Tyranosaurus.

Crossing my fingers for a Carnotaurus right now! :D

That is odd. Maybe people who flex-pay are more likely to cancel because funds are tighter and that why they did the flex-pay to begin with. Either way good luck. And ask Sideshow to see if you can get on both waitlists.

Just woke up to find a waitlist conversion on the Styracosaurus exclusive. Now I have three Dinosauria pieces secured and one to go. I'll be waiting for a conversion on the Tyranosaurus Rex now, but feel confident that it too will convert. Perhaps closer to shipping time. I only missed out on ordering the Syracosaurus by about two days.

Again, can't stop checking out my new arrival since the diorama arrived yesterday!

Yeah, I was expecting the 150 size like that of the other two maquettes. And it seems strange that my waitlist is scheduled to convert tommorow! Anybody else notice that we are already getting another preorder during Comic-con?

Yup, saw that. I can't wait till these bad boys start shipping.

So you don't have the diorama? I was going to try to stick with just the single dinosaur maquettes, but caved and picked up the diorama. This is the single piece from Sideshow that exceeded all of my expectations by at least double. The detail is amazing, and I have not been able to stop checking it out in the two days since it arrived. A truly amazing accomplishment, and I hope it is an example of the quality we will be receiving with each subsequent release.

i didn't end up getting the diorama. as amazing as it is, it just felt like it was too cramped. although i have no doubt it looks better in person. right now i'm sticking to the single dinos. i'm sure that will change though. :)

This is one major case of the diorama definitely not being done justice in the product shots or any other pictures which I have seen posted on the board. There is no way to do this piece justice in images. I agree it looks cramped in photos, but in person, it is a very dynamic fight to the death, by close contact. Amazing! And the Tricerotops impressed me the most with its detail and moreso with the robust fullness of the creature itself.

I was not expecting what I pulled out of the styrofoam. This thing simply sprang to life. I'm simply amazed!

Another during Comic-Con? Somehow that escaped my attention. A most glorious realization. I know what I'm hoping for, but I'm curious, more than ever, as to what it will actually be.
