i didn't end up getting the diorama. as amazing as it is, it just felt like it was too cramped. although i have no doubt it looks better in person. right now i'm sticking to the single dinos. i'm sure that will change though. :)

Well from the pictures it looks to cramped, but the in person view is great. I will post pics of mine later today. Excellent detail.

If there is a pre-order during Comi Con it will be a Stegosaurus, I'm pretty sure.
Stego was the winner in the last Dino poll.

It was, but as we've been discussing in the Dinosauria thread, the teaser image doesn't seem to fit with the profiling for a Stegosaurus tail spike, due to the segmentation in the photograph. Also, we know that the Deinosuchus VS. Parasaurolophus diorama will be unveiled soon! :rock

I do hope you're right, and that it's also just the angle that I'm looking at the teaser from, because it could just be a shot at an odd angle toward the base of one of the horns, or it could be a new piece with that segmented protuberance.

I'm curious, but also hopeful that it's the Styracosaurus. Odd that they would show such a miniscule portion of a piece already unveiled, if that is the case.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the Styrac. We had this same discussion over at the Dinosaur Toy Forum. The radial arrangement and the colors seem to give it away.

Truly hoping as much that it's only the angle. Makes sense, since it seems the new Dinosauria piece unveiled at SDCC will be the VS dio.

I still had high hopes for the Stego v. Allo, but I suppose you can't discount anything.

Although an Argentinosaurus vs. Giganotosaurus would be... insane.

THANK YOU! I've been preaching BOTH of those dioramas since the announcement of the line! Glad someone else is of the same school of thought when it comes to the most epic battles to ever shake the earth! :rock

I feel compelled to point out I want a Stegosaurus maquette everytime you guys mention the stegosaurus vs. allosaurus. :lol

Both would be just fine. Rather, it's quite possible considering we got Tyrannosaurus rex in both a maquette and a diorama, each stunning and strikingly unique. No reason to think SS would be averse to the notion.

True, a stegosaurus is popular enough to warrant both I think. I hope for the maquette first.

Honestly, any sauropod would be great. You could even have one trampling a theropod - that would be rather unique.

One being trampled or stricken by a tail blow would be an interpretation different from what we're used to seeing. We could have that as well as another carnivore gouging out a chunk of flesh if not clinging to the side of the sauropod. Just thoughts volleying around.

lol. Some young Giganotosaurus just dangling by its mouth, holding fast to the neck of a titanosaur like a terrier on a frisbee.

Not the typical image that comes to mind when picturing a Carcharodontosaurid is it? Still, the idea is sound. :D

Thought I'd share some pics of my Einiosaurus bull kit which I finished a while ago. One can see David Krentz's influence compared to the Styracosaurus. My apologies for the poor quality pics:

First thing I thought when I saw it..they looked really similar. I've liked that kit for a long time...the bronze is somehting I def would have bought..if I was richer than I am..lol

Nice job on the paint as well..the spiney softshell is pretty neat as well...I use several diff turtles in my dios..my JP ones have Matamata's in them even.. :D

Thank you for the kind words guys. :)

This was a kit I got directly from David Krentz's own virtual shop a few years ago. Not sure if its still current: https://www.davidkrentz.com/ but always admired the dramatic energy of his work. The Einio backstory depicted here is supposed to be a bull bellowing in triumph after besting a rival male; he even has the wounds to show for it. Along with his Albertasaurs, the Einiosaurus are among my favorites of his work.
