Thanks man that seemed to work fine putting the legs extended outwards:chew

Ok now I'm mucho happier with this, all though it does seem a tad bit expensive for what it is :lol

Actually.....Even that was a little shakey on my shelf and would probably end up taken a dive....thanks though.

What I did end up doing was taking a clear film cannister a small piece of foam I had from my waterproof Ipod case and just sitting it on that.

That way it takes the majority of the weight off the legs it doesn't look too bad being clear.

SSC really should of used clicky type joints on this for how much it cost :monkey4 :monkey3

Wow, finally another yellow... welcome.

I'm thinking it's the thickness of the paint in that crevice that is changing the light colors. What do you think?

I think that Sidious must have taken a pee in yours... that would explain the color.

I hate to think what happened to make mine pink :lol

Mine is yellow too. And I still can't get the tab off the batteries, no matter how hard i pull. Do you push down on it at all?

Mine is white with a tint of yellow. Guess my mechno-chair has good kidneys... :lol

Also, my chair collapses easily as well unless you mess around with each jointed foot and find the "sweet spots"

Granted it's not the type of figure most people want from this line or expected for an exclusive, but this is a really impressive piece. The sculpting on Sidious is quite understated by the web photos, the chair is beautifully painted and crafted, the light feature is a great bonus, I'm very happy with this purchase, especially the price it was.

The colors of this one aren't totally true of the piece, I played with contrast and things to try and highlight the nice face sculpt they did on this piece.

a buddy of mine received his yesterday. he called me today and told me that the mechno-chair was made of weak, cheesy plastic. he thought he was getting metal. the first time he put the much heavier holo-sidious onto the chair, the legs gave out, the holo-sidious toppled and tore off the top plate that houses the tiny light and wiring. the holo-sid didn't suffer any damage but he had to superglue the top plate back on. he thinks the chair is one of the most, and i quote, 'biggest hunk of crap' sideshow has ever produced. when he was telling me, i heard his sister laughing out loud in the background. :lol

i had to laugh too, even though he was upset. i do feel sorry for his disappointment, but it was funny at the time. i will relay to him the idea of setting the chair on a clear plastic cube or base of some kind to take the weight off the legs. great suggestion!

It works and again doesn't look to bad.

They really could of used a stronger material (metal or resin) and clickey type joints.

He's still cool though just not the quality I had hoped for :monkey2

I agree what a piece of crap! I did get it to balance after a while. I must say MaulFans pics make it look really nice. I am just not seeing the quality for this price. This is starting to wear thin with me. I really love what Sideshow is trying to do. Really I do. I would just say to spend more time with certain items. I don't know what I exactly mean. I just don't want to hate too much after the whole snow bunny thing. This piece to me would have been great for $19.99 not the $65.00 I spent shipped.

I can't speak for the item as a whole because I only have mine to go by, but it would seem mine is one of the good ones of the crop as I was able to pose the legs like the Sideshow site images for hours with Sidious on it and they didn't buckle or anything. Everyone has their own standards for when they feel they've got their money's worth, I feel I have with this piece.

yeah i'd say max $24.99 or $29.99....not the $45.00 I paid for it...plus shipping. i feel a little ripped off but it's worth it if SS keeps making these types of items....consider the extra $ a donation. :)

Surely a first but I've had mine delivered TODAY!!! For once, we brits get ours at the same time.

Can't wait to get home form work now.

I had mine up on a shelf next to Maul last night and was about to go to bed when the left front leg gave way and Sidious fell to the floor.

I'm gonna have to defend this piece. I think it is awesome. I ordered it and didn't give it much thought. When it arrived I was really impressed. The joints on mine were extremely tight. I had to "break" them free. I thought I was going to break it. They seem to hold fine so far, but we'll see the sidious is heavy. The Sidious sculpt is amazing. I also really dig the religious look of this piece. It almost seems like a Palaptine idol you might by at some tourist shop on Coruscant.
