I dunno if they are useless. Ask Tomandshell just how useless his reward points were... He only had to pay $16 for his two-pack.

I didn't use my points, so by the time Vader comes out, I should have enough points to get him for free! :rock

A-Ha, pixletwin, you GENIUS! This is what I think i'll have to save my points for too! :rock :rock :rock

I'm sure someone somewhere is. I didn't think you were though. I was just trying to imagine some reason why anyone would have a problem with the way it was done. That was all I could come up with.

And how is $7 for shipping exorbitant?

That $7 is just an estimate.SS adds about $3 to $5 more bucks on top of that depending were your located or what you bought.

Yeah, I'd probably have used some of mine on this. I have several items that are about to convert (SDCC items) so the next 1:6th item I should be able to just about get for Free. Though, I may use them on the next PF. :)

Yeah those reward points are a joke. Those points barely even cover half the shipping of what you puchased.I also think SS over charges on there shipping.

Negative, the reward points are great! I only have to pay $50 for my Stealth Iron Man because of the points I had

I agree with Pix that the points aren't useless. You just have to know when to play them. Kind of like playing poker. I wish it wasn't $1 for every twenty but I buy enough from SS to use them. I got the RAH Clone using my points that Josh 501sted for me. So it does pay off and will so probably on the next 1:6th figure I can order myself. I can get it for free!!!

A 5% discount, simply for being a repeat customer, is hardly a joke. If you don't like the reward points system, you are certainly free to not use them, but as for me, I'm going to enjoy the legendary scale Gandalf bust that I was able to pre-order, and all I am paying is the shipping charges.

As for Sideshow's shipping charges, I am guessing you don't do much shipping. I do, and Sideshow's rates are far better than anything I can get from the same shippers.

Sideshow's rate at least for the 1/6 are lower than some of the rates that the other online stores charge for them. Although they do charge less for the figure.

Wow, I just now got here and I got one no problem. I guess it's like the hobbits; people don't wanna spend that kind of money even if the figure is so absolutely beautiful. It's not even on low quantity alert yet.

First good close up we got. Great face on this guy...

Next time you recieve something direct from Sideshow, get the dimensions and weight of the box. Then contact the same shipper Sideshow used to ship it to you and get a quote to ship it back to them. I assure you the price will be higher than the quote.

I reckon most folks just don't want to pay the extra for that little statue.

OK,I'll put it this way.I have a dealer near me and I have him order non exclusive items from SS for me,now he charges me what ever the item cost no tax no shipping cost.So if this Palpatine two pk is $120 then that's all I pay(now that's a deal). The only time I by through SS is unless it's an Ex item.So SS can keep their Reward points,I'd rather Not pay any shipping for the stuff I purchase through my dealer and get over 10% savings then to get a 5% discount from SS with there reward points. But in the case of Exclusves If I want them,I have no choice but to buy through SS.

I agree 100%. I ordered during the PPO out of habit. However, the first chance I get to preorder it from a reputable online merchant for 20 less (standard 15% discount) I am all over it. That statue is one of the less desirable exclusives ever ... it's too small to hid his saber (from the novel) and the detail is just "eh". Not worth the extra money to go with Sideshow directly.

To be fair, hte statue in the movie is about 10 feet tall.
