Ive been looking at the pics again and thiese 2 are going to be great.
The red senate robes are really going to be top quailty if they come out like the prototypes.

The Sidious in this set has the potential to be the BEST Sideshow 12" figure to date. I really hope we get close to the prototype on this one as the proto is simply awesome. As MF said there have been so many botched attempts at an evil Sidious, like the GG bust, but Sideshow nailed it. I actually think I'm looking forward to this one more the Old Ben.

The GG bust is a bust (no pun intended)????? That thing is freaking great!! There's nothing wrong with that piece.

Yeah, the Sidious GG bust was fantastic. I still kick myself for not jumping on that one. :lol

I'm really excited about this two pack though, My Sith shelf is in desperate need of Sith Lords. :emperor

I was glad to snag it off ebay for a decent price.

The 2 pack is just gonna really add some pop to the sith shelf for sure.

I ordered them when everybody else did, but now I'm wondering if I should have done it. My favorite Palpy is the ROTJ Emperor, and may I should wait around until he shows up. But then, my Sith collection is really thin, too, and this one's a two-fer...

Arggggh! I don't know what to do! :google

It could be a while before we see a ROTJ one. I think it would look cool to have all the versions of the character to show the phases he goes through.

I don't think of the GG bust when it comes to likenesses because that nailed it, but as far as 1/6 and even 3 3/4" figures, there's been some close, but mostly misses. I actually think of the Hasbro figures, the first one they ever did when the line started again in the mid 90s was their best, they've been pretty downhill since but that one really nailed him, small version anyway, both 12" leave room to be desired.

My big fear/hope with Sidious in production is the skin texture, that's such a key part of the look and if most of that survives I'll be ecstatic.

I can't wait for this figure. I seem to bounce back 'n' forth between this and Old Ben as my most anticipated. :google

I am already wracking by brain for ideas on how to display them.

I have to say, overall, I think I'm anticipating Sidious, not the pack just Sidious, more than Old Ben. Old ben is great, iconic and a masterpiece, but like I've said, just for how well Sidious is captured, it really holds a great value with me, that, and the photographic opportunites the set offers me, I'm going to have a lot of fun with them. Old Ben is nice, but in my "stay with the character" photography practice, Old Ben isn't exciting, but these 2 figures offer some amazing opportunities for me and I can't wait to act on the visions in my mind's eye.

Yeah, I know some people talk smack about the Hasbro Sidious, but I had that piece displayed on top of my dresser in front of my closet and if the lights in my bedroom were out and I left the closet light on, the shadow it would cast on my Hasbro Sidious was awesome and I could stare at it for a loooong time. Spellbinding!

I guess, for the mood I am in right now, I am looking forward to Sidious the most as well.

That's the trouble with Hasbro's ROTS Sidious, it's not bad, but it only really worked with specific lighting conditions, otherwise it was iffy and not the sculpt, but the expression, he looks more like someone told him a funny joke than a psychopath laughing with insanity.

Or, as I was told when I posted this pic, it looks like he just cut-the-cheese and Obi-Wan is tastefully covering his nose. :fart

Thanks for posting the pic so I can think about it even more, and now that I look it's not even the smile, it's the fact that his mouth is smiling but his forehead is relaxed so it gives it a happy smile look, if his browns came in tight towards his nose like an evil snarl, that face would look really good, Dooku/Jango good for Hasbro.

I think the Hasbro piece looks good for what it is. They did a nice job for the price point and gave the fans something nice.

Honestly those three are all in a tie for me as far as anticipation. I've seen old Ben in person and its an amazing figure no doubt and I can't wait to get him and loving how the 2 pack looks its a can't miss for me as well. I just hope they all ship soon cause I really really want them.

Sadly, it'll be a nice holiday miracle to get Old Ben, so I doubt we'll see this 2 pack before the new year, but hopefully not too long.
