Sigourney Weaver talks about Alien 5

You can make anything scary again after its been "demystified" if you have the right filmmaker. Two-Face became a punchline joke after his appearance in the first Shumacher film. Then look what Nolan did with the character.

Zombies were silly and old hat until 28 Days Later and the Dawn of the Dead remake. You just need the right visionary behind the helm.

Technically, none of the movie "Zombies" were real Zombies either. They're all more likely Ghouls. Even George Romero didn't call them zombies on Night of the Living Dead.

I would prefer a new aliens movie directed by Jimmy Cameron then Ridley.

I'm a fan of Sigourney weaver, but she's to old now. Best to find a younger actress if they actually do make another alien film.

^^^^^k Weaver. The Ripley I liked died in A3. Not even Joss Whedon could write something good enough to bring her back (A4). And she is too old for me to care about that character on screen anymore. I would have maybe liked to see her fighting some predators back in the day, but not now. Weaver is right though, the alien monster has lost its mystique with so much AVP exposure.

That said, I'd love to see a movie based on Machiko Noguchi from the AVP books. And lets see the preds on some other planet for crying out loud. I want to see an Alien movie with Predators, not a Predator movie with Aliens.

The whole point of the Aliens movies was to prevent them from reaching Earth. But that seems pointless now since aliens have been here for hundreds of years. Dumb! What idiot thought that was a good idea? Oh, yeah, it was Paul W.orthless S.h*t Anderson, wasn't it. And just when you think you're going to get to see what you really want in Requiem, the friggin' ship crashes back to Earth from Saturn and we get aliens in Walmart's sporting goods section and in high school swimming pools. ^^^^^k yeah! -not.

It wasnt Paul's idea at all. It was some comic guy who thought of it while he was taking a ^^^^. No lie.

Atleast Paul Anderson tried to keep canon. Antartica is pretty far away....no matter what, nothing would've been known.

AvP-R on the other hand.....well there ya go.

Also, if Lex and Scar didnt work, then Machiko and Broken Tusk certinly wouldnt work.
