Built up shots of my Joker repaint and hair job. Seriously!

I know this is old, but man, I really love the re paint you did on this.
I wish you were doing commissions for first timers.:monkey2

Never seen this Joker before, but it's the best custom job on this head I've seen. Well done!

I've got a Bud Abbott and a Lou Costello sculpt waiting for you to work your magic on. I've been waiting for you to get less busy, to my eye you are the best painter on these boards.

That is a very high compliment indeed. There are many artists I admire on this forum, whose work I try to keep up with.

I will continue to do my very best to live up to that statement, jom. Thank you.

Hey Nathan, just wanted to say that I got The Dude all setup and I wanted to thank you for taking him on for me. You absolutely gave me back a work of art and I can't describe how amazing of a painter you are. The best I've ever seen and I'm so thankful that I own some of your work. I couldn't be more happier that I just bought the head and clothing from Rainman and not the fullset, so you could paint it for me. Nothing I've ever seen looks as lifelike as what you painted here. He's the most realistic figure I own now.

Truly an honor. It's perfect bud. :duff

If the sculpts are good and you hit me up when the "doors" open again, I'd love to paint them for you.

Hey marker. Thank you so much for the praise. Nothing makes me happier than a happy customer. It was an honor to paint such an amazing Rainman sculpt. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to paint it for you. I don't always have money or space to collect everything I like, but at least I can say I painted a few and have the pics to prove it.:hi5:

Wow wow wow!
First time I see this thread..Jumped through a few pages, and I am FLOORED!
You've heard it many many times, but here it is again - AWESOME.

Now, back to page one. 199 to go :)

First, thanks for the compliment, j97e1, and welcome to my thread. If you go to the User PC tab at the top of the site, you can find a place to customize your preferences. Set the posts per page to 40 (maximum per available) and you will only have about 50 pages to go through.

Silentsurfer, no chance of taking a quick commission and fixing up my x-wing accessories set? you can probably do it with your eyes closed!

I'm not one to get mixed up in childish drama, but this one pissed me off so I thought I'd drop it in here being that it directly addresses how I handle my business.

Apparently I had missed this post in the 1/5 Predator statue thread in the Aliens and Robots section. I had posted a compliment to Mike Najera for an amazing paint job.

Jeff Yagher is killing it on these amazing sculpts, and Mike Najera did a great paint up on this one.

His long time buddy Q from there days together working out Monsters in Motion posted this shortly after.

Mike Najera did a badass job on this. I was fortunate to see it in person at the freaks party....

Mike paints several items for Sideshow but yet you dont see him posting everything he paints with his name highlighted..... LOL!

GREAT JOB MIKE

This was my reply in the other thread (9 40-posts-per-pages later)

Wow, can't believe I didn't see this earlier. What a prick, Rolando! Do you and Mike waste much time thinking and talking ____ about me, or what? Or is it just you? Grow up.

Q and Mike are old friends. Q and me, not so much.

For the record, Rolando, I was the first one in this thread to point out that Mike Najera was the painter and did an amazing job. And maybe Mike would post his great paint jobs here if he cared to do private commissions for the Freaks like I do. No bad on Mike; he can handle his business however he wants. And I'll do what I do. Go try to throw somebody else under the bus, "Officer Quinonez" of the Downey PD.

I highlight my name because I'm proud to paint for the most amazing figure making company. It's an honor to see my name there. And not everybody on the Freaks board knows what my ____ing name is.

I'm on your side Nathan. Not everyone takes the time too see the list of artists on each product, so I love it when they (or you) chime in and say so. I don't know what Q's problem is. I don't see taking credit for your hard work any different than showing is something in here. :dunno

Hahah why wouldn't you proudly post what you did here? Now if you were saying how great you are and put other people's work down then that's a different story, but you're not and a lot of people here are supportive so keep up the great work Nathan and keep posting here when you do something new for SS. :hi5:

Thanks guys.

Q and I are previously acquainted through Monsters in Motion way back when and from his booth at Frank & Sons more recently. We didn't see eye to eye on something just once, and things have been weird since. I didn't take anything personally and moved on, but I've always had the sense he hasn't. He's also personal friends with Commtech and Beto (neither of whom I've ever had anything against), but it just seems like that group has decided to hold some grudge against me. Some friends are like that, I guess, and all it takes is one drop to poison the well.

Please, everybody reading this, feel free to have an opinion about the issue, but don't bear any ill will to anybody for my sake. That's never the right thing to do.

Moving on again. I will continue to post pics of any and all of my work that I am proud of. Good stuff coming up soon.

Hey Nathan I wouldn't worry about it, you got some of best stuff here and your work stands alone, I'm honored that you share you work here with the rest of us.

I've had problems in the past with other custom artists and it's unfortunate that we can't all play nicely in the same sandbox.

I just wanted to say keep going, do your thing, the only person capable of stopping you is yourself. Keep strong, you are a great inspiration.

NOW rock it :rock2

Hey Nathan:
I don't belong to any "group". If there's something I don't like, I will tell it (or in this case, write it) directly to you, like the last time with the "limited English" thing (I don't really want to go back to that and I think neither do you). But at the same time, I will praise and give props to your work every time it moves me. It works both ways.
