You might have seen this on the WarriorsGateProductions web site. I did the paint and hair. I did this a few months ago and didn't realize it was up on their site.

It was pretty hard to get the camera to capture the true color of the skin, and adjusting it in Photoshop makes the hair look green:dunno, but here you go.

Thanks. The paint was fun. The hair, not so much. After the Joker, this is the only other hair job I've done. I'm sure I'd get used to it just like painting, but right now, I really hate doing hair.:gah:

On the table now:

I have mastered my skills. I am ready for the trials Sideshow has set before me. May the force be with me.

This will take things to a whole new level. Very excited about this one.

Sounds awesome Nathan. Can't wait to see what it is.

On another note, may I ask if you could share what you used for hair? It looks very realistic and looks like it really works for 1:6. Looks very natural.

This is kind of a massive wish and a guess at the same time but - Episode 1 Obi?

My absolute grail figure and I was so happy when we found out it was happening. To see the first shots of it will be great especially if painted by you!

No - it really doesn't. It's as much of a chore every time :lol

LOVE your work on that piece man. Great job.

I would have to agree with Creg here, I have another commission coming up with hair and it sucks!!!! I don't want to do but the voices tell me to. :monkey1

I'm going to have to get some advise from you guys on doing the hair. I have a couple customs I'm going to be working on that require hair and I'm not looking forward to them.

I had the biggest smile on my face when getting this figure all set up. I actually laughed out loud a few times because I was so floored by it. Nathan, I can't thank you enough for delivering on every aspect of this project :bow

I'll be adding a few more pics in my collection thread :)

I gotta admit, I thought it was impressive before (except for the dinky feet), but WOW!!! Surfer's paints just elevate it to a completely new level. Congrats. The immense detail is just unreal. I don't usually say this much, but I'm officially jealous. :lol

Thanks Nam :duff Those feet were one of the major things I wanted to upgrade with McClane v2 :lol After having this figure in my collection for a few days, I think he may honestly be my favorite piece. It's a testament to Nathan's paint, really. The attention to detail in his work...there is just so much to look at and appreciate. Amongst a collection of super heroes and sci-fi icons, a dude wearing a tank-top and grey pants steals the show :lol

Awesome Penguin! The hair really makes it, too bad its such a pain. Love that purplish skin tone too.

I'd love to see one with the green goo running out of his mouth. I'm planning to upgrade my own Penguin to this head at some point, so maybe, maybe...

I think the less smiley faced Penguin sculpt would look great with green stuff oozing out of the mouth. I'm down to paint (and maybe hair) a different version just to have pics in my portfolio. It the piece was always going to have the hat on and didn't need a full rooted look, I'd definitely be in. I'm not sure that would make sense though. Drooling and hat never went together, did they?

:goodpost: I love that.
