Awesome work on the flag, Nathan. How did you get it to hang so naturally in Supes' hand? I would say water treating it, but it's an ink-jet print so I imagine that would have ruined it.

Specially treated fabric prevents the ink from bleeding. And then I mixed liquid stitch glue in water and brushed that over both sides which made it stiffin up as it dried in the position I wanted. They are actually pretty rigid now.

Very cool, didn't know waterproof inkjet fabric was out there :rock

Email replied btw, so excited! :hi5:

Holy cow that Superman rocks, I always thought Reeves, as much as he looked like a choir boy, looked totally bad ass with just a little stubble.

Thanks, Deckard.

Do you clear coat you customs???

I usually seal them with a clear, flat coat, and then add whatever level of gloss it needs afterward.

You have to treat the fabric before it holds the ink without bleeding.

Cool Nathan. Well if you decide to make more of those flags, I'd definitely be in for one :rock

I've got more printed. I'd just need to weather it. And if you want it stiff-posed, I'd have to know how you want it displayed.

Heads up to my fellow Freaks:

My backlog is nearly wrapped up even as I continue to take on repeat customer work and batches of heads.

I am now going to start following up with my waitlisted customers to see who still wants what done. Once I get through that, I will launch my new site and fling the doors of the lab wide open (God help me:slap). I will continue to be a very active member of this fine establishment however, and this thread will continue to be filled with custom goodness.

So, if you've had a project on my waitlist for a while, please don't hit me up about it and give me more PMs and emails to sort through. I've got hundreds already.:thud: I will be contacting you .

Repeat customers and 1/6 portrait batches still welcome. FYI, I have a new email address from which I will be responding from now on. Make note of my new email address when you get it. Until then, continue to use the email you have. I will forward and then reply to your emails as I get to them.

I hear those hinges on the doors squeaking!

I really want you to paint up my Abbott and Costello heads and will be waiting for you to begin accepting new customers.

I've gotten a couple PMs about the how to get on the waitlist, so I'll clarify that right now.

There is no more getting on the waitlist. I'm going to finish and close it. then I will simply begin to take regular orders. The waitlist was created to keep track of requests without actually committing to them when I was too busy with Sideshow to keep up with them all. My hope is that that will no longer be necessary.
