Had time today to work on Horus. The head piece is done, but I'll probably weather it up with some sand effects before the whole thing is done.

These pictures show me that I have a little too much contrast going on in some front 'copper' areas that I will even out later, but here it is with the fresh metallics.

Thank you all for the very high compliments. It really makes it all worth it to read such appreciation for what I do. It truly is a God-given talent. Half the time I don't even know what I'm doing. I think the gift is less an ability to paint, and more a tenacity to not give up til it looks right.

Here's a piece I painted earlier this year for Idea Planet, the same company that contracted Sideshow to do the little Nathan Drake statue I painted for the Deluxe Edition of UNCHARTED 3. This is the Songbird from Bioshock Infinite! The video shows production sample that looks very close to my proto paint. I will post pics later of my actual piece (some pics of which have been circulated to promote this upcoming set).

I've seen you in real life, and you look nothing like Wayne Szalinski, but then I cant understand how else you shrank the prop to put on your model.

I'm ashamed it took me a couple minutes to figure out the Wayne Szalinski reference, but I got it.

Here's more pics to feast upon. This was a really fun project. I painted one of these before they retooled the original sculpt, and then got sent two of the newer ones to paint just like it. These are the pics of 2 and 3.

Whoa. Love the character design, and your paint does it absolute justice. Finding myself wanting to see what you could do with a Big Daddy piece now...especially after seeing your oxidation effect on the SG piece.
