Projection night tonight for me - gonna try and talk to my dad again :)

You've proven to be a pretty interesting guy, Sean. I'll spare what the Bible would say about the kind of things you are into, but I wouldn't mind getting to know YOU better via PM regarding your experiences and such. I do believe that people have very real experiences. Believers in God were not the only ones in the Bible able to experience spiritual realities outside the physical world. I am guardedly curious. That is to say, I know what God says about, but because it can be real, I'm open to knowing what you've experienced.

Nathan, I love that your so open to share your beliefs and not worry about being judged and persecuted. Especially on a message board that generally shuns such comments.

Surprisingly, this has been a much friendlier response to my open faith than I often get on Facebook. There's some real mockers out there. But it's all good. I just keep Jesus' words in mind at those times. "You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved." - Matthew 10:22

I will suggest Nathan that we are actually going to do earth 2.0 as John saw a new heaven and a new earth. But yes - in a perfected state without the issues of sin all together and heaven and earth functioning together with accessibility to both. . :)

Yes, that is a more correct statement. The believers now will be like the angels, but there will also be a new heaven and earth, and for a thousand years people will still be born and live on earth under Jesus' rule.

Same thing, grew up a church kid my whole life. Knew the Bible in and out but didn't have a true relationship with Christ until high school

Amen. Even though we may not meet in this life, I know we will be brothers in Christ in Heaven forever. Nice to 'meet' you.

Thanks to everone who actively or passively participated in this discussion. It was a great opportunity to use what God gave me to do and turn it back to His glory.

I now return us to our regularly scheduled programming. Pics in an hour or so. Still glossing some eyes.

Two Bale heads. Interesting how the slightest differences in the casting material will photograph so differently even though they look the same in person and were painted the exact same way. The second pic is of a head that was ever so slightly more translucent in casting resin.

And here is Medicom's Bat's head repainted.

We're going to Heaven, not earth phase 2.

"Does a heavenly body have to ****?" Who knows. It will probably function so perfectly that it will not produce waste. Or it may be that the body does not need food. It's just there for pleasure's sake.

Love this. When you think about after-death (and for me juggling possibility of heaven and just, well, the end) you have to wonder about that absence - that 'great beyond' as the only way I can think of putting it.

Really great to imagine a 'world' where bodily 'needs' are not present. Would seem to take out a lot of the conflict that we get into here on earth.

Then again, as Wake pointed out, what about pleasure. I feel that when I feel pleasure I am happy as well (don't need pleasure to feel happy, but it contributes) so when we get wherever we are going I want to continue to do the positive things that make me happy, like being with my wife.

It's easy to get stuck in the mindset of this world because it is all we know, but I would imagine that in the absence of pain and longing we would not need "pleasures" to counter balance our moods. I would think we would be in a state of absolute contentment, being perfected by the Creator. Pleasures in this life are distractions from normal or negative feelings, aren't they? Negative will be eliminated and normal will be perfection in the next life. Just existing would be pleasure beyond what this world can offer.

But then again, the first thing that will happen with all believers are gathered up is called the Marraige Supper of the Lamb. The lamb being Christ, and the bride beind the Church (the collective body of all believers). It's supposed to be a feast like no other and we have to assume it will be quite pleasing.

I often think I'd miss my Sano Alien, or my Jason PF, or many other little treasures I've collected in this life, and I'd miss my favorite movies. But then I think Heaven must be so much better than this life that once there, I'd look back and wonder how I thought anything in this life was so valuable at all.

I kind of think of it this way... there's better way to make art when there...
