Wow, those are just amazing looking figures!

Don't know who painted the boots... but I've heard they are Superman boots repainted. Any tips on how to get them painted w/o it cracking or flaking off due the flexibility of the boots?

did u paint the leg,s to aswell as the hands..

I paint matched the head and hands to the bodies. The legs were already good.

JUST SICK MAN! ABSOLUTE AWESOMENESS! THe PERFECT WALTS! You got heisenberg hiding around?! :)

Thanks. They are Superman boots that I repainted. I used a paint called Cell Vinyl that is used for animation cells. It's very durable and very flexible, so no cracking.

I learned about that stuff when I painted up the hands for Sideshow's Crimson Guard. I was told that the paint I had used was flacking off of the gloved hands as the photographer was posing the piece for pics. The lead painter turned me onto Cell Vinyl. Great stuff.

It was hard to get the chem suit legs down around the boots, and with all the tugging and pushing and sliding, the boot paint still looked perfect.

I used Cell Vinyl on the blue gloves as well, which were black batman hands.

Awesome! Thanks for the information on the Cell Vinyl :duff

And love seeing more of these behind the scenes shots... I dig that Crimson Guard sculpt, I thought it could make for a great Doc Savages figure.

Congrats Wake! I cant even think of a proper comment that sums up how masterful these look! :thud:

Nathan, truly a work of art!

Thanks for the praise, everybody! Now for me to give credit where it's due.

First of course, to Trevor. My paint means little without a great sculpt.

Second...

Agreed, Nathan as given you the best BB set ive ever seen - Congrats Wake

Thanks to Wake for giving me the best BB set to paint. What I received in the mail was a box containing many smaller boxes. Each small box had on its lid a list of parts included (bodies, accessories, clothes) and a list of instructions for what to paint and how for each figure.

Next to my wife, Wake is probably the most a-retentively organized person I have ever dealt with. This was a huge project made a bit easier by such fastidiousness on Wake's part.

Thank you, Omar. Much more for you soon.

Third, to all the people who made the clothes and accessories for these figures. Without such craftsmanship, this figures wouldn't be possible.

Thank you sir! It was the only way i could keep things straight myself!

I think Fumi is number one in organizational skills though because she somehow is on top of all of the other stuff you have of mine!

I echo your sentiment regarding the wonderful Trevor for his Walter head and shoes sculpts, Rocco for giving us Jesse, Gus and Mike, and for Moe and his Tailor for all of the custom made outfits, Entropy deserves kudos for his gas masks as well!

Lastly, because it merits saying, Nathan is the best painter I've ever seen. If I could have every sculpt in my collection pass through his work table I would! (I'd also be homeless and starving due being broke!)

Yeah. Well the Perseus legs with Narrow shoulder upper body hybrid

You have one hell of a line up there bro! :clap

Sounds like Wake and I have something in common with our meticulousness. That method of organization and instruction sounds a lot like the way I planned on sending you my mother load.

Us an@l folk are :cuckoo: in a good way. Sometimes :lol

I would say these are spectacular and leave it at that, but I'm a lesser man than the rest of you. I'm insanely jealous of you right now, Omar. You've turned me into the green eyed monster.:lol Seriously, though, those are absolutely stunning. Masterful work by all parties involved, and you've all succeeded in making the wait for August that much more unbearable.:panic:
