The godfather!!!!

One last one. "THIS I COMMAND!!!!" and specials thanks to EVILFACE that provided me with the Emperor stand decal :rock

I'm sorry, did you not see that bar up there? You must've noticed it when you RAISED it!:yess: :lol

Inspiration is a two way street, my friend, and you've certainly got me back in the saddle once again with a couple figures I didn't think were remotely possible a year ago. :bow Not to mention 14 Cobras under your weightbelt, all customised in some way... :eek I think Springfield is in MO!:panic:

Killed it Meaty :clap

One thing, anyway you could shorten the space between the top of the shoulders and his head?

Re: Ski's GI JOE Customs etc... (Serpentor Update WIP P.77 Post #768)

With the complexity of his costume I never thought that anyone would make a great Serpentor, but this is just perfect. Now I want my own Serpentor, THIS I COMMAND!

Re: Ski's GI JOE Customs etc... (Serpentor Update WIP P.77 Post #768)

That is some serious skill there. Man all those customs are coming together. Great Serpy ski! Awesome stuff.

Any chance you working on Globulus?

Re: Ski's GI JOE Customs etc... (Serpentor Update WIP P.77 Post #768)

Just incredible Ski, are you going to try that half snake guy next?!

Thought the same thing but was to chicken to say it.

Both Serpentor and the other big dude have really long necks if you look at where their actual shoulders are. I know they have a lot of shoulder gear though, so shortening the neck might not be an option. :peace

Re: Ski's GI JOE Customs etc... (Serpentor Update WIP P.77 Post #768)

Amazing work Ski :bow

Never a figure I would have even dreamed would be do-able by the complexity of his outfit, but you did fantastic work!

... now Slaughter!

Thanks BM, I know there's not many fans of this guy but I thought he would be killer in the 1/6 scale/form.

Waiting on the glasses from a fellow member (I didn't order the glasses or hat, although I have the hat) and I'll be right on it as soon as it comes!

:thud: :thud: :thud:

Whereas the BAT was a technical wonder, and Nemesis a scratchmade marvel, this may well be your crowning achievement, Ski! And how rightfully so! Simply love the snakescale outfit and its all so shiny! Not to mention the killer helmet/hood sculpts! Your pride and patience definitely shines through in the Cobra Emperor!!!

Seriously is this doesn't instigate a boardwide empidemic of ophidiophobia I don't know what will.

Goin back to answer all the comments and questions, just wanted to say again that a lot of the love for G.I. Joe is fed from this community, it's mainly where I spend most of my time while I'm here at the boards and seeing more customs, tweaks, bashes, mods are the really great. The latest Flint mods really have me excited to try my own on him. That's if I can ever get to opening him up, I will though, no worries.

To answer your question about the snakescale outfit and materials and give a complete breakdown on Serps, I'll give it a go here (it definitely took a lot of patience with this one, almost more so than Nemesis Enforcer for some reason, maybe it was the fabric but yes I did take my time with the custom):

Serpentor Formula:

Hood sculpt: custom, balsa wood, Sculpey III and Sculpey Firm mixed.
Head sculpt: TTA (completely redone w/ repaint --skin tone:eyes:slips:brows, sanded off facial hair, head over all was helmeted)
Cape: Drizzle my man did an amazing job on my Serps cape and Pythona cape, custom real metal chain though was added for more girth and heavy dutyness that I wanted on the feel of Serpentor.
Body: T-800 MS HT.
Body suit: custom hand sewn nylon spandex about $10 a yard
Arm sheaths: custom hand sewn forest green pleather, Hancock's Fabric
Chestplate snake creation: custom hand sewn, each scale was sewn together and layered I think three times with a bottom, mid and top layer. Gloss and black wash applied along with forest green pleather used as straps w/ snap-ins
Chest, leg armorings: Snake skin fabric, I was very fortunate to get this material to myself as it was very VERY expensive, I think they were quoting something like $60-$70 per yard... Rightfully so though whenever I got the materials it's definitely the highest end fabric that I've worked with for a custom.
Staff: Cobra Commander Hasbro staff, very nice in weight and was the perfect fit for something that Serpentor would carry around.
Boots: T-800 MS HT boots.
Hands: T-800 MS hands, closed and opened fists.
Decal stand: EVILFACE custom creation of emblem on Serpentor's chariot.
Side snakes: Cobra Snake Wild Safari LTD (eBay), repainted green with slight gloss.
Neck snakes: They actually came from my neighbors reef, I guess for Halloween they had a reef made up of snakes, so yes.... I did take two of them. There had to be like 200-300 snakes on that thing so I hope he didn't mind. :) (repainted green with slight gloss.)

^^^ This is epic. Nuff said.

So awesome. Ski, you are a true artist, thanks for sharing!

Excellent work!!

Gotta say, as gay as I think Serpentard is, that figure rocks bud!

Thank you friends!!!!

LOL, I guess I did miss it, I'm fathom to think that I've inspired someone like yourself and it's a great honor. I really do appreciated all the comments that kept me plugging along and also passing on some great ideas with this project. Although I know that many didn't like Cobra-La I knew if I could do them correctly that I would love them in my collection.

There's a few more Cobras left that I haven't opened from SSC and I really need to get on that...

Those Cobra-La look awesome. Keep the awesome customs coming.

As I said in your other thread; that guy there is perfect. :bow

Thank you friends, I will try to keep on impressing I hope!!!!

Killed it Meaty

Yea, you can actually snap it down further, I like the huge traps look but it's just personal preference, muscles: go figure right? So I pop up the neck a lil more than it should sit but it can snap down fully, the armor pleather materials is soft enough to give.

ski he looks fantastic is that the snake fabric

Yep it sure is and expensive as hell as well $$$$$, phew!!!!

Thank you fellas, indeed there are plans in the works for Golob, perhaps in the next year though with all the projects I have coming around the corner but I do have a plan of attack on the main leader of Cobra-La that is for sure!!!!!!

AMON AMARTH!!!!!

:rock2

Great video! I just watched it while eating breakfast!

Love their stuff, a lot of my workout songs follow the same genre as them.

Nice way to wake up with the AA blasting LOL!!!!!

Thought the same thing but was to chicken to say it.

Yea, same statement as I stated with Dorkness, they are regular necks and heads with no modifications on the neck, I didn't mod them longer or anything and can fully snap down further if needed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again thank you everyone so far that has commented, I love this G.I. JOE community and out of all the threads and forums I believe we have the hardcore fans here at SSF, even though there are dedicated G.I. JOE forums for this sort of subject.... it's just not the same as the Freaks!!!!!

I wouldn't have pegged you as a Melodic Death Metal kind of guy. Very Cool. :duff

I agree that they are perfect for working out to. It makes you feel like you are going into battle!. :viking :devil

Would you mind posting pics of Serpentor and the big red dude with the neck pushed down? I would be curious to see it. :)
