Casino Royale is a great Bond movie but it also lacks a lot of the Bond elements that we have all come to love (Q, cool gadgets, over the top Villian, the humour, a decent car chase).
This one seems to have it all.

^ That's exactly WHY Casino Royale was so good. Lacked the very things that turned against the series.

I was ready to never watch a Bond film again after I saw Die Another Day. Craig and Casino Royale saved the franchise for me. Can't wait to see Skyfall.

Dire another day is one of the worst films I've seen let alone a bond movie. Poor old Pierce's bond went downhill after goldeneye.

When it kicked in at the end of casino royale it is amazing though. One of the best Bond scenes ever for me.

Only the Sean Connery era got that right. They had the perfect mix of everything.
They used the gadgets correctly, the one liners correctly....up until Diamonds are Forever. ____ that movie.
I'm glad they're sticking to that era. The best era.
