I didn't love Rubbercop, but I didn't hate it either. It kinda was it's own little thing and I'm glad I saw it. At least it didn't try to say the original movie didn't exist and have Rubbercop beat up the original or have an evil app trying to take over the world. Y'know, like that other movie..
I didn't think it was a twist seeing the characterization of Robocop being in reverse compared to the 87 film. In the original, he's a cyborg coming to terms with knowing he was once human. In Rubbercop, he's a human coming to terms with being a cyborg.
No Clarence Boddicker was a major fail though.
